“Beds are not comfy, duct tape on the windows curtains, closet door fell off when opened, in house restaurant was pricey and mediocre at best, asked for medium rare ribeye, got well done. Housekeeping walked into the room without knocking, 2 hours before checkout, as I was standing right there naked fresh out of the shower. Payed for a king suite with a lakeview, the was only one window out of three you could see the lake out of and you had to lean over the desk to look out of it. The……

“I stayed with my family of 5 and we had plenty of room. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room overlooked Lake Superior which was lovely. My son enjoyed the workout room and my whole family absolutely loved the pool area. This is a very nice hotel and the price can’t be beat!! Looking forward to staying again in the future!”

“Staff was pleasant and lobby offers an array of brochures of things to do in the area. ATM machine did not work in the lobby so make sure you bring cash. Room was spacious, beds very comfortable, nice TV and bathroom. We’re all very clean. Make sure you bring your own amenities because they are very scanned in your room. “Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Best Super 8 breakfast that was comparable to a Holiday inn express. Not just cereal and make your own waffle, very unexpected and appreciated. It would be super if all Super 8s had this breakfast. Also the best maintained Super 8 that I've experienced. The pool was super clean, very rare to see that.”

I had hopes for the pillow top bed (per the website) but the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped. Room was clean, breakfast had a variety of foods. Location was great! “We only stayed one night because we were passing through. We were upgraded from a cabin to the lake house for no charge because of a booking conflict, so that was very good for us ! Lake house was very roomy , and had lots of character. Some antique furnishings , a full kitchen and laundry, and even two tubs of locally made ice cream in the freezer ! Mainfloor washroom was way too far away away from the bedrooms for our liking , but that would be our only complaint.”
