“This property is a ways from the main roads, but it is a very quaint and relaxing place. If you want to learn about history and enjoy nature this is the place to come. It’s not a Hilton, so don’t expect that kind of amenities. The host/receptionist, Dan, is super helpful and knowledgeable. ”

She made to-go breakfasts for everyone with fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh cut fruit. Lovely overall experience. Nice not to be in the center of town near Grounds. Very easy access when you do.”

“Loved the setting in a small town within 30 minutes of Old Rag Mountain (popular hiking spot). The hosts were so helpful with info on dining options in the area and in towns within 10 minutes drive. In this very town, there are restaurants within a few short blocks, including a delicious bakery/coffee shop. Accommodations were perfect. The room and private bathroom were immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Loved the Kuerig and supply of coffee!!! And lastly, had an amazingly……

“Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi.”

“The property itself met my expectations and was pleasant to stay at, however, upon check-in i was told that there would be an extra cleaning fee (expedia wont let me include the price but it was a good amount). I was a little surprised and wished they had made that more clear before i booked the property, but at that point i had to pay the fee. Following that, we were given a checklist of our duties upon checkout that included stripping the beds, washing all dishes, taking out the trash,……
