  • Shisuitei is a traditional Japanese-style hotel with onsen and sauna facilities. Technically in the middle of nowhere, it was the perfect hotel to relax and slowdown after a day of snowboarding. The dinner and breakfast, set in a private room was delicious! And the nakai (hotel staff) were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back here in the summer. Location: Gunma Prefecture We went by car but they also provide a free pick-up service to and from both Numata Station on the JR Joetsu Line and Jomo-kogen Station on the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line.

  • One of the nine lifts that take you up the mountain to various courses. This year has been one of the warmest winters we've had in Japan, thus the lack of snow. But thankfully most of the courses had new snowfall a few days before we went. Location: Gunma prefecture Best to come by car, it's a 2-3 hr drive from Tokyo. (Parking on weekends are free if you have more than 4 people in the car!) Or you can come by shinkansen, closest station is Numata Station on the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line, then another 50min by bus.

丸沼でスキーをするため宿泊したが、30分余り要しやや遠い。オグナ武尊スキー場へは便利だが、駐車場からゲレンデ下までシャトルバスだったので、その部分は不便。ペンションの夕食は頑張っていて、「メガ盛り」でボリュームに不足無い。 比較的近くの片品「花咲の湯」は温泉・食事とオススメ。

コスパの良いペンションでした。ベットが心地良さ、ビーツのスープ、リーズナブルなワイン。 白根山登山の帰りに宿泊するための宿でしたが、翌日、オーナーさんに教えてもらった観光地で、バッチリ期待以上の楽しい観光もできました。ありがとうございました。
