「A lovely welcome, very comfortable spacious room in a beautiful house. Great English breakfast too.」

「Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend.」

「The room is comfortable and perfect for one person. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located near the train station. However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.」

「This is a lovely old building. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed is superb for a good nights sleep. Set just outside town, a short taxi ride in and out, it was very quiet and ample safe parking. The Dinner was very good (Belly pork) and you must try the garlic and cheese bread, it is huge like a pizza and far more than we expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay a memorable one. Thank you very much. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.」

「Had a decent stay. Bed was not very comfortable though. Staff were polite. Food was just okay. Probably not stay again due to the fact on my day of departure, I practically had to walk over all the clean bedding and towels for the next guests because they had been placed on the floor outside my room and on the stairs that everyone uses to get to and from the rooms. Everything should have all been in a clean laundry bag.」

「From the outside the hotel is starting to show its age but clearly there is refurbishment work ongoing. The public areas and rooms are spotless, well appointed and comfortable. The rooms are large and comfortable and we will use the hotel again」

「Enjoyed our room although the shower was somewhat temperamental - bath worked perfectly but shower was all pressure or a dribble Most friendly staff who were so helpful」

「Great little pub with large outside seating area. Pizza night Fridays & very nice too. Room very comfy a little warm being at the top of the building but had a good air con fan. Probably not a common problem in this part of the world!!!」
