I was upgraded to a room with a kitchenette, which was nice to have for the one night we stayed there. The building is very dated but is reasonably well maintained. Good value for money.

When we checked in after a 7 hour drive our room smelled horrible. Our fridge and freezer smelled of fish. The room was dirty. Hairs on the floor. Property isn't maintained. The wifi was down our whole stay. Which is funny because they tell us to notify them of anything 24 hours before our check-in. But nobody contacted me to notify me that their Wi-Fi has been down. My daughter was traveling with me currently is taking college classes and needs wi-fi to do such. I did complain to the front office. They then moved us into another dirty room. I don't know if my expectations and my standards are too high when I'm paying to stay somewhere. It's very loud at night. People were still up at the end of the dock past 10:00 at night load music. This is my sixth time to the keys in the past year. I love this place and I love to bring my family here to experience it. This was my son and daughter's first time and their experience was ruined. From the beginning when we checked into a dirty room that smelled wasted two hours of our time. Also should mention that they do charge you a fee when you check in as well. Because that is not listed. I'll never come back to this place.

The place was a total dump. Do not believe the reviews. The whole place was completely run down. The room was disgusting,..dirty floors, cracked floor boards, nasty kitchen appliances. The shower floors were slimy. The toilet was not fastened to the floor properly. The sink was missing a stopper. The whole place needs to be knocked down.

This Is an older property has been updated a little but can use some more updating. Bed was very hard & you can hear the springs every time you move. Need new bed mattresses & need new bed comforters, they look like they are from fingerhut from the 1980’s. Was clean, safe, & ok for a nights stay, but will spend a little more money for a more modern hotel next time. They actually still use keys not the modern key card like most properties now days, (goes to show how old or out dated it is).

The Kingsail Resort is in a convenient location. Most places were within 2 miles. I got to resort early and my room wasn’t ready yet, so I hung out by the pool which was very nice & clean. The staff were very nice. I liked that every room came with a designated parking spot. My room was ok. The AC was loud - good thing I don’t need AC so I turned it off. There is no ledge separating the shower & rest of bathroom so when I showered the water pooled all the way out across the length of the bathroom. I had to use 3 towels to mop up the floor. The good thing is the staff picked up the towel the next day & replaced with new. My room faced Overseas hwy & I was surprised how well insulated the windows & glass entry door were. I didn’t hear a thing overnight…but I did hear the resident rooster in the morning! Overall the room was ok. It offered the bare essentials & comfy bed. I only stayed 2 nights so it served its purpose.
