“I think the t.v.s' should be bigger. Instructions on how to work tv. Also sturdier cups for hot drinks ( my mom is 82, hard to hold without squeezing, could lead to burns) Room 199, the TV was on the corner wall of the bathroom, hard for the person in far bed to watch. Room 182, no phone, and again larger tvs. More outlets in the room”

“I was not impressed with the modern flair. The beauty of a elegant hotel for me is the richness of quality period furniture and decor. Mixes the two (modern with historic ) doesn't work. The transgender desk clerk was a bit much. A bid hard to look at, its' personality was acceptable. The rooms were also modernized. We have stayed here in the past. It was disappointing to see this change of mood in the hotel. Overall it was okay.”

“OMG! We are staying there again!! The staff were really friendly and so helpful. My husband loved the downstairs lounge. He was able to catch up on a YouTube channel he watches in real comfort. The breakfast is usually a sticking point with him. Not here. He had everything his big heart desired AND the bacon was crispy. A rare occurrence and it wasn’t a fluke. We didn’t us the gym as I made him walk up Sugarloaf Mountain. Twenty two flights of stairs I think it was. Reception had just about……

“This hotel needs a little work. Not horrible. Just a little run down. The room was pretty clean. No complaints there. Just the hall ways. Elevator reminds me of a shady apartment complex. Lots of rust. Paint wearing off etc. the oool and hot tub were okay. It’s a good location as you are right in The center of Marquette. Price was a little steep over $200. I’ve stayed at much nicer properties for less. That week was graduation weekend for the local university. NMU. So they could……

“Clean, new(ish). Pool wasn't open when we checked in but the exercise room was clean, well-stocked and easy to use (24 hrs/day). Two nits to pick -- the mattresses were rather hard. And there were no bedside lamps -- only an overhead lamp in between the two beds for which the switch was on the wall requiring you to get out of bed to turn off the light. Otherwise, it was great. Would stay there again.”

“Over all our stay was comfortable enjoyable. We had an incident where we left some snacks in the room The maid’s came and cleaned it we got back and our bag of snacks were gone. Reported it the clerk said he would check into it gave us a little bit of a discount so that was helpful.”

“First, the customer service was top notch. Friendly and efficient check in. Second, two hour after checking out and several miles away from the hotel, I got a call that my wedding ring had been left behind. The honesty and helpfulness of the staff was so appreciated ! Now, the beds are quite firm and not the most comfortable, and the walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can hear everything. The property was clean and space was roomy.”

“The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious for the Marquette area. It was very reasonably priced as well. We did have a some issues with controlling the heat, but the staff was very helpful in addressing it. They also offered extra blankets. We were very satisfied and would return and our next visit to the area.”
