The Costins is a great little property and has everything you could need for your holiday.

The Costins is a great little property and has everything you could need for your holiday. The house is warm and clean and we enjoyed it very much. The WIFI was also perfect which is not always the case when you go away. Allonby is a very quiet location with a massive beach that is dog friendly. There's a couple of pubs, a tea room, Ice Cream parlour and a fish shop and not a lot else apart from caravan parks. Ideal for a quiet weekend, but also close to places like Keswick, Carlisle, Cockermouth and other smaller towns and villages if you want a drive out. Had a great weekend chilling. Great location.

Great location. Beach 5 minute walk. Equipment in house good value. Smoke alarm very temperamental need to keep door into living room closed when cooking. Few problems toilet flush sticking and needs attention. A lot of dust under settees and shower head keeps lifting and spraying whole of bathroom. The lower location score is due to the fact that on this visit none of the two pubs the village now allow dogs inside, making it a long drive for somewhere to eat and no drink or local conversations on an evening as weather was not good enough to sit outside.
