Amaloh Boutique Resort offers a very relaxing holiday experience. The staff are very welcoming; the accommodation is oversized and very comfortable; the swimming pool is terrific for being able to swim laps; the oceanfront location fabulous with kayaking and ocean swimming available . We were two couples, from Norway and Australia) and we absolutely loved this boutique hotel. Perfect for a three night stay after travelling around the highlands of Sri Lanka.

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. However, it does not have immediate access to the beach. That is about a 400 yard walk away. Lovely beach, sand, safe swimming, turtles, fishing, good local seafood all there!

A sanctuary after the heat and drama of Yala

Beautiful place, superior deluxe room and bathroom absolutely fab! Best shower ever! Love the Jetwing brand. Staff here could benefit from learning from other Jetwing hotels to improve on currently good service, so customers expectations are met/exceeded. Better communication in English language, more staff present to meet/greet/check on guests would be good as often we had to go in search of someone sat in an out of the way office or working in kitchen to get help/info/pool towels etc.

Beautiful resort.

This property is absolutely beautiful The rooms are very clean and the staff is amazing and always there for whatever we needed. The only drawback is the toilet, shower and sink are outside but very private.

Cadre idéal pour se détendre au soleil

Hôtel/chambre très confortables et cadre idéal pour se détendre au soleil. En revanche, il n'y a pas grand chose autour notamment pour dîner le soir, ce qui "condamne" un peu au resto de l'hôtel (qui est pas mal cela dit) pour tous les repas.

Trevligt boutiguehotell med schysst pool och mat

Trevligt litet boutiquehotell med stor, ren pool i ett lugnt läge. Två byggnader i vinkel i holländsk kolonialstil i 2-3 våningar med vacker trädgård. Hotellet är väldigt pitoreskt och underhållet är bra. Stora rum med balkong eller terrass. Rum på andra våningen har havsutsikt men alla har utsikt över trädgården/poolen. Bra A/C. Använd myggmedel kvällstid. Utomhusbadrum med dusch och badkar. Bra tryck i duschen. Hotellet är i första hand för vuxna, kanske med större barn, eftersom hotellet saknar egen strand. Det finns dock möjlighet till bad i havet från trappa. Sandbotten med inslag av stenar/koraller. Ca 400-500m från hotellet finns Pelhani beach och ca 1-2km från Mataras centrum. Servicen var vänlig och korrekt. Några servitörer kunde vara lite glömska men det slätades snabbt över. Hotellet serverar öl och vin men ingen starksprit tillstånd saknas. Detta var ett problem som vi uppmärksammade på flera hotell under vår vistelse i Sri Lanka. Du får ta med egen alkohol till hotellet. Maten var god och vällagad men under våra 4 dagar förändrades inte menyn alls och det var samma "dagens tips" och "specials" alla fyra dagarna. Varje kväll finns färsk fisk och skaldjur som tillagas enligt önskemål. Kocken har arbetat i Italien så pastarätterna är bra. Första natten glömde de byta handdukar och fylla på flaskvatten på rummet men detta löstes snabbt och därefter var det inga problem. Städningen av rummen var bra och sängarna sköna. Tvätt av kläder var dyrt.

Un bel endroit pour buller et bien manger

Le confort et la restauration sont irréprochables. L'accueil et le professionnalisme de l'équipe reste à améliorer gentil et disponible mais pas efficace et pas au niveau des attentes d un hôtel de standing. Pas d'accès à la plage par l'hôtel et le quartier n'a pas d'intérêt. La plage à proximité bien que propre n'est pas d'une beauté exceptionnelle. Une superbe piscine pour se consoler. Une mention spéciale aux cuisiniers, très bons!!
