We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. "Clean and tidy and had all I needed for my stay. Close to Morrisons which was useful and only a 15 min drive to where I was working. My flat was at the front overlooking the road which is a bit noisy during the day and evening so I had the front windows closed and it was quiet enough at night for me to sleep. The towels are ok but would prefer bath sheets or larger towels than those on offer. I will certainly look to using this place again as I frequently work on Canvey island."

"Good price and nice breakfast with cooked to order options. Lovely to have a hotel with a full gym and swimming pool. Location is a little odd as it's on an old airfield I believe which is now an industrial estate. Part of the grounds is a golf club but there are limited areas which are available there to walk or run meaning I ended up having to use a treadmill for my morning run instead of running outside. Seems a shame to not make the golf course more multi use and either push people into running like a hamster or onto roads shared with trucks. The swimming pool is a lovely addition but very strange. In the women's changing, you lock your locker with your room card. Great! But then where do you put it? I ended up doing a couple of lengths with it in my hand but it felt a bit strange. I would have used the facilities more if it was all a bit more thought through. That said, nice place, just needs a bit more joined up thinking to make it a great place."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Delta Marriott while visiting the area for a family birthday! Since it was an unusually hot day, walking into a crisp, perfectly air-conditioned room was a huge relief. Our room was very spacious for our family of four, with comfortable beds, quality linens, excellent room amenities, and a nice, clean bathroom. The kids loved the pool, which is conveniently located in its own separate area. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of variety to keep everyone happy, and the staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, a fantastic experience—we’d definitely stay here again!"

"This is a nice hotel but has one major drawback for disabled guests. The breakfast room is on the first floor of an annex attached to the hotel which has no lift access. We were told there were about 20 stairs to climb, which was impossible for my disabled partner to negotiate. To combat this a very helpful member of staff brought us down everything we required into the bar area. We were also offered the choice of having breakfast served in our room without a tray charge. However, as this is a buffet breakfast, I would have preferred to have been able to sit in the breakfast room and see exactly what was on offer. Other than that (and the £12 parking charge) we were happy with the standard of food served, the level of customer service and the hotel itself."
