Second time here. Clean comfortable spacious room. We found the bathroom fan and the intermittent noise from the masserator toilet annoyingly noisy. Bar staff were very friendly and fun. Really all staff great. Good parking at the back of the hotel. In the heart of Melrose. Happy to visit again.

We had a nice stay while doing the Borders Abbeys Way, beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options and we also had dinner in the restaurant. The bar was a meeting place for locals which gave it a nice community atmosphere.

Nice welcoming staff. Good breakfast, promptly served. But the hotel is very run down and needs to be cleaned more carefully. Not the place to be in hot weather. My window barely opened and the bathroom radiator was full on - and impossible to turn off. No fan available either!
