Unhelpful & dishonest host - do not book this property

Do not book this property. The host is unresponsive, unhelpful, and dishonest about the amenities provided. Save your money and find a place where the hosts actually care about their guests. Checked into the property to find there as no hot water. The person working the lobby desk told us to contact Vrbo, who told us to contact the host. After many attempts to call and message the host, we finally heard back from them from an international number (not located in Mexico) and they told us there was an ongoing problem with hot water in the building and they were not sure when it would be fixed. This host knew there was no hot water for any of the suites in the building, and yet, continued to allow guests to check in & continued to take money from guests while not providing a property that matched the description. Our stay was for 5 days, all of which had no hot water. We checked in with the host each day for an update, to which they had no and no timeline. Aside from the fact that we paid to stay at a place with functioning hot water, a cold shower out of necessity was not feasible as it was rain season in Mexico which can be quite cold. The host had no remorse or concern for the issue & was more than happy to take our money while providing a subpar property. They offered us late check out as compensation as if that makes up for 3 adults not being able to have a shower for 5 days Unless u want to stay at a property where the host could care less if an issue arises, do not book
