  • This place is right behind the James L Knight Center, right between the Brickell Avenue and the S.E. 2nd Avenue bridge. I was on the North side of the Miami River pointing my camera South East. I found plenty of parking for a reasonable price. Best time if you want lots of action would be Friday or Saturday night. For a more desolate nights I would recommend Monday thru Thursday night. Here you will find an incredible amount of photography opportunities to shoot for. While like any big city you will find a few homeless folks, the place was very clean and very well kept. Lots of new, very tall buildings have made the Miami landscape a very popular site for photography!

We enjoyed our time at the Comfort Inn. The convenience and the locality was great. We enjoyed watching the ships at the Miami Gateway. The staff was very kind and took great care of us and the rooms were very clean. The complementary breakfast was good and convenient and there were many really excellent restaurants in the area. We would stay again.

Great scenic location in port area on the river. Shuttle service offered to cruise port for small fee.There was a nice breakfast with many choices hot and cold. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Walking distance to mall area for shopping / eating. My only issue was the extremely loud party boats on the river at all hours (spring break) which is not the hotels fault.
