This is Not a Hotel. Please Read.

First, THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. It is a condo rental. The building is brand new and they are leasing out the units. There is NO 24-hour staff here as the ad claims, especially on the weekends. There is No Business Center as the ad claims. There is one (1) TV in the unit without Cable or Satellite. It does have internet TV which works, but we all know is not the same. No TV in the bedrooms. No art on the walls... none. Towels in the bathroom? Yes. Change out the towels? With who? There is no staff here to help. Overall, the price is great for Miami for a clean, secure 2-bedroom unit. The unit and building is brand, brand new (Jan 2016). The building is close to everything. Just remember you will be on your own once you get your keys. Remember, THIS IS NOT A HOTEL.

Muy mala experiencia en Pelicanstay Coconut Grove

Muy mal servicio!!!!! El proceso de entrar al cuarto muy tardado !!!! Nadie contestaba en las oficinas y no regresaban los emails con prontitud, no existió nadie en la recepción en los 5 días solamente el último y no era staff del departamento .. dice que tiene wifi pero no aparece el login name en ningún momento.... el colchón es el más corriente súper incómodo el sillón café de la sala se sienten los fierros cuando te sientas, las sillas del comedor están contra el muro lo cual no sirve ( el tamaño no es el adecuado) el refrigerador hace ruido toda la noche si usaste el hielo parece que están tocando ..... a los cuartos se le mete muchísimo el sol porque le pusieron persianas las cuales dejan entrar la luz ... en cuanto higiene había un rollo de papel en teoría nuevo pero manchado del lateral !!! La televisión poco practica es imposible ver los canales por el sistema que tienen !!!!! No hay vending machines en todo el edificio ni frigobar !!! También en la descripción dicen que hablan español y no es cierto En resumen ha sido la peor elección en muchos años!!!!

Pelican Stay (Furnished Suites at Coconut Grove) overcharged me for my stay by over $500. When I brought it to their attention, they agreed that they had made a mistake in billing. I have not yet received the credit. The 2 bedroom unit was very basic. There were no hangers in the closets, no dressers for clothing, stains on the carpets and holes in the walls because door stops were missing. Light bulbs did not function and when I notified Pelican Stay, they told me they would be fixed, but it never happened. Worst of all, the beds were on the floor, which made it very difficult for my 80 year old parents. We wound up changing our plans and gave up the final night of our stay. A hotel would have been much better, and Pelican Stay deserves all bad reviews they receive if you google them.

The property is a nice, relatively new and clean apartment/condo facility. It is located in an area that has relatively good access to many attractions. It is not set in an area where you would walk to such.

Unfortunately the check in and check out experience was quite frustrating since instructions were not clear. The experience create anxiety because we were traveling with a child and my wife is pregnant. I was charged USD 1505 instead of the original price USD 1360. My agent is going to call Expedia to clear this situation.

It’s an apartment, not a hotel. Decent place.

The apartment is rented out by Pelican Stays. It’s not a hotel therefore they only provide cleaning for $105 per day if you want. The apartment had some damage when we arrived such as patched dry wall and stained carpeting. Could have been cleaner upon arrival. We werent expecting this considering the apartment were just built in 2016. The staff also only left us one trash bag for 9 days of stay so we had to buy our own. The room was spacious and had a nice balcony. One huge downside with Pelican Stays is they will not refund your security deposit!!!! We did not damage anything and the cleaning staff and supervisor said everything was fine upon us leaving. Should have received security refund within 10 days but it’s been over three weeks. I’ve tried emailing them which usually they are very responsive but now that our stay is over they won’t respond. Tried calling and they said I should receive security deposit shortly and email but that was a lie too.
