“Hotel is no where near where it is stated . Staff checked our luggage till 3pm. They only had one other guest staying at the hotel and our room was clearly ready however, they made us wait until after 3pm to check in. The lounge they said we could wait in had a few of their employees spread out all over the room and at 3pm when we walked from the tiny table we were waiting. The only other guest walked right in the front door and they took their registration before us. In addition, they gave us……

“No pool due to maintenance which was a real upset. Rooms were basic, clean and no issues for the price. We had ordered connecting rooms and had to ask for the door to be opened between them. Breakfast was good only negative was the coffee machine didn’t warm the milk. We tried 3 times and it was always the same. Good for one or two nights and free parking was a bonus.”

The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. “Narrow entrance to car park with two prominent concrete boulders. Scraped front wing on arrival boulders are hidden from drivers view due to small turning angle so beware....rooms have not been updated for several years. Bathroom very small, shower in bath lacked pressure. Staff excellent, nice continental breakfast. Great location . Hotel full of character set in lovely grounds.”
