「Gorgeous and chic hotel, walkable to any downtown location that you’d want! Staff is top notch and the furniture is awesome and is for purchase along with some other decor. Drinks are awesome at the bar, along with the appetizers! My date thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we both woukd highly recommend this unique experience 」

「It is a lovely hotel. The room was new and well-appointed with some of the old bank building charm. It's upscale while being quaint and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor. The room had amazing upper windows. Very cool! The staff was lovely. Very accommodating and friendly. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town. We were very happy to stumble upon the Promissory Hotel!」

「It's a beautiful space. The host was super helpful. Check in and check out was easy. The location is great. We visited several local restaurants and the transportation museum because of the informational packet within the unit. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to our friends and family.」

「Hotel is okay for a quick sleep. It’s a good price. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were clean, room could be updated some. My closet door wouldn’t shut. The man across the hall from me was smoking weed and the hall stunk even though it’s smoke free. Area around hotel is crappy. The woman checking me in was completely unfriendly. Didn’t get my $50 incidental charge did not get refunded and I had to call.」

「This is a wonderful place to stay close in to all of the places to see in Roanoke, VA. The staff was top-notch, the room was clean and fresh, the shower was strong and pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. The staff did everything right to make sure we had what we needed. Thank you so much!」

「The room had an interesting smell. Maybe the ventilation is not very good because it rains a lot in this part of the country, I’m not sure. The staff is definitely not the friendliest, some are better than others. Breakfast is very good. The gym is OK glad they have a peloton now but a lot of times that Wi-Fi wouldn’t work and I couldn’t log onto classes so I just had to do a solo ride. They could expand it and get more equipment to make it a little bit more useful. I ended up going to a Planet...
