“Though the decor was nice the place didn't function well. The toilet gurgled, the kitchen sink drained extremely slow and the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The couch cushion was so worn you didn't feel it, you felt the frame. The beds were hard. The fridge is small, like a dorm room fridge. From the post it seemed you were closer to the water than you are. We booked for 2 nights and left after 1 knowing we wouldn't get a refund. We booked hoping to make it a fishing weekend so after……

“This was our second stay at this property! I highly recommend this place. It is clean and a great location. The host is very easy to work with.”

“This cabin was absolutely adorable. It is even better than the pictures. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great location. Our host, Carole was great and responded quickly to all our questions and checked in to make sure everything was going well. The check in was easy and the cabin was very clean. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock and the pups enjoyed the acreage for hikes. We plan to return with our extended family!”

“Excellent property nestled in the Michigan woods. Easy access and well maintained. Host had us totally prepared and ready to enter and use the cabin before we arrived. Better than expected and will use the property again.”

“Property was just as pictured. Host was easy to communicate with. A great place to stay for a last minute trip for our family of 4.”

“The Ranch was awesome, and everyone had a great time including the dogs.  The house has everything you need and more (a new clothes steamer is available).  :)  Beautiful inside and outside, and just as described in the home description.  The property owners are really quick to respond to questions.  Great rental and highly recommended.”

“Would definitely return”

“Very nice cabins! Whenever we up in the area, we stay here! Only thing you can hear the traffic going by but definitely worth it! The owner is very friendly and helpful!!”

“This was a perfect cabin for my family with 3 young kids. There was plenty of things to keep us entertained when it rained, close to the beach and the cabin itself was comfortable and welcoming. The check in and out was very easy.”

“Great home tucked away from just about everything, but also convenient as a party store and bar/restaurant is nearby down the road. Home was spotless, comfortable and quiet, with everything we needed for a great stay. April is a great host with nearly immediate responses to any questions we had. A perfect landing spot to all of the great things that northern Michigan has to offer. Secluded, but everything within a few minutes, a perfect combination to enjoy Higgins Lake, The AuSable River,……

“Very clean ”

“The cottage was clean and comfortable. We loved the shower and the fenced in backyard. Coffee bar was well stocked and lots of games to entertain. Great place to stay and will book again!!”
