If I could give this “whatever this is” a negative-star rating I’d obliged. 1. Terrible Customer Service. Front desk clerk lacks professionalism and courtesy, they forget people are paying for a service and experience not your baggage from home. 2. You pay a hefty some for a wedding at the venue and they can’t accommodate a late check out, I had to get an Airbnb nearby for my wife to get ready for our wedding. 3. We decided to get their Breakfast, they up-charge fried dumpling when you want a get it in place of toast with a omelette absolutely ridiculous. 4. Cleaners come knocking on your door if you go a min over your checkout time. Absolutely mind-boggling. 5. Place is old and run down. Don’t waste your money, you can get some views with better quality and customer service don’t waste you or your family’s time.

My overall stay was very good. The breakfast was delicious, staffs were very attentive and courteous. However there was just too many mosquitoes in the rooms, no wash cloths were provided and the towels could use a softener of some kind because it was very rough on skin. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

It worked for the purpose of quick overnight. Although the club music right behind us kept me up all night. Tiny mosquitoes or something I couldnt even see kept biting so had to wear long sleeves and long pants thru night. Jacuzzi by pool had to be turned on by front desk and never got hot although sign says supposed to be 104 degrees, 70 at best. Hard beds. A few little tiny knat type bug seen on floor. No Hot water until next day about 9am. Toilet ran all night. Staff was nice. Beautiful view from pool area. Nice complimentary breakfast menu.

Lovely room with an amazing sea view. Clean room and public areas of the hotel and beautiful gardens. Just away from the noise of the town of Ocho Rios but the church next door was a little noisy.

This is a lovely little hotel, which is in the middle of Ocho Rios so it is easy to get around to everything. The staff is accommodating when notified of problems, such as no water pressure or temperature control in the shower. As every place on the island, it has been affected by the hurricane and they are doing the most to accommodate you while accommodating for weather as well. The restaurant had OK food. Very similar to any other hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the two days we were there was in the middle of a cold front in Jamaica (yes, there are cold fronts in Jamaica and evidently it is usually in February who knew.!) so we didn’t enjoy facilities like the pool or the ocean or the snorkeling as the seas were very rough the rain was consistent and it was 61°F. The area around the hotel is easy to walk through, but really unless you are grabbing something to eat there is no reason to. It is a busy island working environment and quite dirty. If your intention is to stay in a place that is safe and cozy with great views this is definitely your place though a resort it is not.

I had a great stay at the Hibiscus Lodge. The staff was friendly and courteous and I love the location right in the center of town. Also had a chance to meet the owner who was on site and he was a joy to talk to. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for an alternative to the big watered down gaudy all inclusives.

Beautiful views and great food for dinner. The jerk coconut Alfredo pasta was amazing, and the rum drinks were excellent. The room was fine but the sea view was outstanding. The only drawback was the club across the Main Street with which blasted terrible music until 3AM.
