“We started off the week with nice weather and ended it with snow. We were thrilled. The house had all the amenities that we needed and plenty of room for the four of us. We visited Mt. Palomar and around Lake Cayumaca. Psycho kitty did show up and we fed her but we couldn’t pet her. It’s a great comfortable house with alot of decorative pieces around. I had to move some things so they were out of harm’s way. We cooked most of our meals there but needed to clean the oven to cook one of Mom’s……

“This is a beautiful property! My husband and I used it for the weekend of our daughter's wedding and we housed 4 other couples-- family and those who are our chosen family. It's spacious, yet cozy, and we all had a wonderful time. The only issue for some was that we couldn't get the internet to work, but it was a minor issue and felt good to be unplugged for a bit. “Instruction from the owner were very clear and simple. It’s important to understand and respect this location and the fire hazards. The cabin was beautiful and what we were looking for, but the view was by far the best part. Parking was a little tricky if you have guests so I would recommend reading the parking instructions carefully, but it’s understandable considering the location. Thank you for a great stay!”

“I needed a place to process the final stages of my divorce, and the Magical Retreat was just what I needed. The energy of the place is filled with love, it’s vibrant, and has lots of natural light with the numerous windows. Beautifully decorated with positive messages throughout. The outdoor space was amazing with cute fairy doors, a labyrinth, and more. Jill accommodated my request to extend my stay. I will definitely be going back this summer.”

“A total of 15 family members celebrated my Mother's 80th birthday at Thyme in the Pines. The age range was 12 to 80 and there were plenty of activities on the property to entertain the entire group. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishware and cooking utensils. The decore is festive and added to the warm ombience. The first afternoon the house was chilly but Avery responded quickly and adjusted the thermostat and we were comfortable the rest of our stay. It was a magical time!”

“The house was very comfortable for 6 adults. Lots of nice places to sit, whether to join the group or be off by yourself for a while. The house was also very functional, no problem getting the fireplace, heat, or anything else we needed to work. We didn't really cook so can't say anything about stove, etc. The last night and morning it got pretty cold, windy, and rainy, but no problems being comfortable in the house. “We stayed here for Easter weekend on a whim. This house has an amazing view of Stonewall Peak and Lake Cuyamaca. The beds are very comfy, the whole house is super clean. “This property is perfect for immersing in nature and getting away from it all—with benefits! It’s located away from the weekend crowds in Julian, but close to wineries, cideries, and hiking/biking/horsing trails.
