“This property is absolutely beautiful! It is spacious but cozy, and we liked that it had a bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom overlooks the river you go to sleep and wake up hearing the soothing sound of the river flow. We enjoyed the deck, the hot tub and we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over a fire. The location is also perfect for hiking as there are many trails near by. My friends and I have stayed at several cabins through the years and we all agreed, this was the best place we’ve……

“My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 2 week stay at "The Hermitage Cottage", which is actually a large home on the outskirts of Highlands, NC. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and is very spacious with a California King size bed in the master bedroom, (very comfortable) as well as several other large beds, and two bunk beds for kids. The kitchen has the most modern appliances, and is well stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. It's just a 10 minute drive from downtown……

“What a hidden gem! On a gorgeous piece of property, this house feels remote yet is a quick drive to downtown Clayton. The home and views are even better than the VRBO listing photos. There are plenty of places for large groups to gather whether in the kitchen, dining room, or enormous porch with expansive views of the mountains. The host was an excellent communicator and was so kind to allow our group to check in early! We can’t wait to return!”

Plenty of beautifully decorated bedrooms, spacious and comfortable living room, and adequately stocked kitchen.
