Michillinda Lodge is a historic resort - not lavish, but clean and beautiful. Several outdoor amenities such as a tennis/pickleball court and a swimming pool are provided. The property sits atop a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan and provides access to a small beach. The staff is friendly and skilled. Our stay was relaxing and surrounded with beauty.

We visited Michillinda Lodge in 1985 and loved it! While traveling up the west side of Michigan in September 2026 we decided to stay there again. It was another great experience. We loved the gorgeous setting, the grounds, shuffle board and the sunset views!! Also, a special thank you to Lea, she was kind, friendly and very accommodating! Thanks Michillinda Lodge! See you next year!

Nice, secluded location, beautiful landscaping, and gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. Limited beach access because of the bluff, but there is a deck overlooking the small beach with loungers to relax on.

First time there. Room was clean and well kept. Sunsets were great on the lake side deck, beach was washed out, but the duck lake beach was minutes away and the pool was nice. 15 min away from the Michigan adventure park, Definitely going back

We often stay at Michillinda Lodge when we visit West Michigan. We stayed in Guest House #2. The views of Lake Michigan from the deck are amazing! The beds are comfy and there is a sofa bed and dining table in the living room. There are many outdoor games and and a nice clean outdoor pool. You don't even have to leave the resort, but West Michigan has so much to offer, I recommend exploring the area! My 19 year old granddaughter had a mandatory online class on Saturday, 8/22 from 8 - 12 she had to take. Lea was very gracious by letting us check out at 12 instead of 11. Highly recommended!

We come here for the peace and quiet. Resort is on the water and is in a secluded area off the beaten path. Grounds were well maintained with outside sports like pickleball, tennis and basketball. There’s an outdoor pool but was not open yet. Check-in is easy, keys are left out we arriving after hours which is convenient. Cabins are nicely maintained. This was our second visit and would only recommend for the resort to upgrade their mattresses in the future.

We loved the property, so beautiful! Our kids loved the pool and playground and we enjoyed sitting by the Lake with the cool breeze and playing pickle ball in the evenings once the courts were shaded. We also loved the proximity to Duck Lake Beach, our kids enjoyed the two days we went there. It’s also only a 15 min drive into town where there are some really good places to eat and a Walmart and aldi for groceries. We stayed in the annex and its well maintained but showing its age especially in the bathrooms (small sinks that poorly drain) and one of bathrooms laminate floors had some water damage. Our suite had one window unit in the master bedroom and it kept us plenty cool during this heat wave but we couldn’t close the bedroom door or it would get a little stuffy in the other rooms (only matters if your traveling with others and want some privacy). Our bath towels and pool clothes also wouldn’t dry on the hooks (maybe some towel drying rods like they use in England would help) and there wasn’t a great place to hang them outside to dry. We drove into town and did some laundry midway through our trip to freshen up our beach towels and clothes. Overall we would stay here again but probably choose one of the larger cabins for our family of four with a kitchenette but we booked only a couple months before our trip so we were lucky to find something. You can tell the owner takes pride and great care of their property and we really enjoyed our first trip to Michigan.

Good for families because there are lots of free activities on property. Quick walk to the local convenience store- White Duck- and our room at least did not have a TV which was actually nice for the two nights we were there. Had a nice deck overlooking Lake Mich from our room too. The AC units were window units and could have been a little better but it was luckily not super hot out. We were in the Annex building on the second floor with two double beds in the main room and a queen in a separate room.
