"Thank you Mary. Every thing went well. We had no issues and the house made for a very comfortable stay. We did enjoy being there. Thank you for your help in and being responsive to my emails and messages. That always helps as every thing is an unknown until you get there. You made it easy. "
Lake Forest Cottage - Dog Friendly w/ Hot Tub, Firepit and Kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"This was a wonderful place to stay. The hot tub was great it feels very secluded with out being completely cut off. We had such a great time we are already planning our next stay here. "
"We had a great stay at this house. The place was very clean, spacious, and well maintained. Everything was exactly as described, and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, which made it very relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!"
"We loved the charm of the okd cottage. Loved the updates. Realy liked the oversized recliner. That was my seat the whole weekend. Only suggestion I would make is getting a new coffee maker. It was loud and took forever to brew. Oh and a frying pan. We had a great Christmas get together."
"Super cozy and cute. Quiet and private lakeside lookout nestled in the trees. Soooo relaxing and restorative me-time! Gas fireplace and anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. "
"We had a nice time in the area, but the house was just ok. The lake was low and extremely mucky and weedy. We used the public access area down the street which was a bit better for swimming. Also, a heads up that there were no life vests for the paddle boards and kayak. The home could use some updates and furniture upgrades, but it was as pictured and overall clean. Just pay attention that the “loft” is an attic with a pull down ladder to access it.While the host responded quickly, we never received check in or out instructions via VRBO or email, and missed the laminated sheet left in the house. Yet, were still charged extra for not rolling out the trash or stripping the beds. Alas. Also, a neighbor warned us about a Doberman that walks around off leash a couple houses down and is not friendly. Do not approach. The pros: the view was lovely, the nearby cider mill and petting zoo were fun. It was fine for a weekend, but we wouldn’t recommend for a long week or if you want to swim if the lake is low."
