1 bedroom classic Nags Head cottage! Right across the street from the beach!

This little cottage is just as cute as it can be! This is the perfect spot for couples or small families who want to be right by the beach, with every amenity, traditional Nags Head charm, modern comfort and convenience at an affordable rate. Enjoy the ample outdoor living space between the large sundeck on the front and the cozy, furnished screen porch on the back. Grab those boogie boards and take a short walk to the beach where you and your family can enjoy the Atlantic Ocean at its best. The wreck of the historic USS Huron is just about 100 yards off the beach in front of Stay Salty and provides a great spot for snorkeling and diving. Restaurants, shops, and a variety of family amusements are nearby the convenient location of this cottage. There's also plenty of parking, room for a boat trailer, and a fish cleaning table for the fisherman in the group. Rinse off after a trip to the beach or take a cool shower before dinner in the private outside shower. You'll appreciate the comfort and convenience this wonderful little cottage provides. No central heat. Fireplace and space heaters available.

Great stay!

It was as advertised! Nice little back yard and nice AC.... Washer was broken so had to use a laundry mat......but great place to get away and be close to the ocean!

What a great little cottage. It had everything my wife and I needed to live comfortably for the week we were there. It was very clean with lots of old Nags Head charm. The location can't be beat. Literally right across the street. One morning I caught a nice bluefish from the surf. The cottage is so close I carried the fish back by the tail. I cleaned him ,walked back to the beach and caught 2 more! There are tons of beaches in the area with free parking and free admission. You're also in easy walking distance from the Nags Head fishing pier. What a great area. We can't wait to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stay Salty. The location was great- especially off season when it wasn’t really noisy right next to a beach access. A bath fan and kitchen fan would be nice, along with screens on more windows for fresh air and ventilation. The shower was really slippery, which could definitely be a hazard. Normally we make use of the outdoor shower, but it was overgrown with weeds and in poor repair. The yard was nice since we have a small dog, and the neighborhood was nice for walking. Would consider it again if it is just the 2 of us.

Perfect for two

This beach cottage was very clean, well equipped and s a short walking distance from the beach, just across the street. It is an older cottage with a lot of charm and very comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the spacious deck and then after a day at the beach relaxed on the coved porch.

Very nice cottage and location. Only gave 4 stars for cleanliness due to the shower curtain being covered in mold. How does housekeeping not see this and clean it or relace it ?

Great oldtime OBX style w upgrades

We loved this property, because it had the old style OBX cottage appearance with these great porches, along with upgraded lighting and necessities, including all the TV channels my husband could watch. PLUS, this place was absolutely wind and rain tight as we experienced the tropical storm spun off Hurricane Ian! I've never been anywhere else so solid! Remember to use your phone flashlight to see the keypad accessing the front door key. We arrived in the dark, and it was a little tricky. Plus, be aware that this is south, not north, if arriving in the dark.
