First, the good stuff: the king size bed was very comfortable, the towels were good, and the remodeled kitchen and bathroom were very nice. The view is spectacular, the balcony is a great place to hang out, the beach is right there, and the staff at the Apollo are very accommodating. Now for the negatives that are generally easy to fix: the bedroom dresser drawers are broken; most of the drawers just fall out when you open them. The bedroom window blinds are broken and unusable. The closet could use more hangers, not a big expense to fix. The televisions are very small; we quickly gave up on them as they were hard to see from the couch or especially the bed.They provide you with one roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, and one dishwasher pod, but not even a small shampoo to get you started on your first day here. I like to clean up after myself, but no cleaning supplies are provided. How about a broom and some spray cleaner? And someone please get rid of this hideous “centerpiece!”

The condo was clean and upgrades were nice. New kitchen and bath. Lacking ceiling fans and lighting insufficient in bedroom. Plenty of beach chairs but no cart or wagon to pull them to the beach. Sofa and chair could be upgraded. Need more beach towels.

Great Week on Marco Island

All was as advertised with this listing. It is on a great location on the Island with a wonderful beach. Sea shelling was really good the week in January we were there. Two small items that should be noted, the HVAC unit in one of the neighboring units is noticeably loud in the bedroom at night. The other small issue was the TV in the Living Room did not have cable, only the one in the bedroom. These were very small issues, and did not damper our stay much, but I thought I would mention them. Overall, it was a wonderful week and we would probably book this unit again.

Beautiful View

I loved the view and location for beach walks. The couch in living area is new and lovely. The condo just needs a owners tlc. Linen closet inside biew all old mish mash of bathroom linen and beach towels. The beach towels were at least 20 years old and worn out. The beach chairs looked ok but were covered with sand and stuffed in a closet. Bedroom closet was cluttered with old bed linen and old hangers. These little things would cost very little to improve looks. The balcony furniture was soiled. For the price I would not stay here again.

8th trip to Marco

You can’t go wrong with Marco Island. We love going here. First time at the Apollo. It is right next to public access. It does get a little crowded. The unit was smaller than we like. A little dated. What got me was a big dump that was left in the toilet. Funny how these property management companies charge you enormous cleaning fees and this is what you get. Not to mention the TV is never worked. Not that were there to watch TV but obviously no one checked this unit before we got in the patio furniture needs thrown in the trash it was disgusting

Marvelous Marco

Marco is absolutely stunning! We love staying there! The condo we stayed in was sufficient. They had some nice upgrades but needed so extra love. The king bed was horrible, we did not sleep well most of week. The fan in bathroom was so dirty, we were surprised it worked. Towel rods need secured. Overlooking that, the views were stunning & sunsets spectacular. A little love & this gem would shine.

Tiny room with a view. Comforts not included.

Great 10th floor view of the gulf. However, this was the most bare bones property I have ever stayed at. If you want to get warm, you have to cover up with the extra bed pad (we went to thrift store to buy a blanket as it dipped below 40 this weekend). Your 1st trip will be to go to the store buy everything you need. Dish soap, dishwasher soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, mataching wine glasses (oh we bought those also and left them). You will need some therapy after dealing with the tiny stove that shuts itself off and locks itself in the middle of anything you try to cook. I guarantee the furniture on the patio will disappoint you (unless you are into building furniture out of PVC tubes as a hobby). Like the stove, the TV channels may come in or may not. Good luck with that.
