Stay at Alto Balmacedo was good! No frills accommodation, but clean. Could have better linens, especially towels. Good location!

Everything worked well and the place was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised to come back at the end of the day to find someone had come in and given us clean towels. Good location: Close to the bus terminal and grocery stores and within walking distance to downtown.

the apartment had everything we needed and it’s within an easy walking distance of the city centre. The people managing the place are amazing—supportive and genuinely caring—which was the highlight of our booking. I accidentally left my fancy multi charger/adapter in the unit, and they called straight away and organised pickup, which I really appreciated. Everything was great, especially considering the price. My only suggestion would be to replace the current beautiful blind with something that blocks out light better, as it doesn’t fully prevent light from coming through.

Clean, property manager responsive. Nice to have a kitchen. Heating worked great and windows open if too hot. Comfortable beds. Bathroom needs a little work. Toilet loose and wobbly. Faucet in sink also loose.

A very nice and convenient apartment at an affordable price. It’s an 8-minute walk to the bus station and just 5 minutes to our travel agent’s office. The restaurants and downtown area are about 15 minutes away. The owner is friendly and communicates through WhatsApp. The apartment accommodates up to 4 people and includes a kitchen and a washing machine. We were very happy with our stay.

Great ultra modern apartment

Really beautiful, modern, clean, quiet and spacious two bedroom apartment. Can strongly recommend. It’s in between town and the bus terminal; easy walk to both. The host communicated well and made check in/out easy. It was self check in which was very convenient.

Would stay again!

Apartment was walking distance to everything in town and the bus station. The washing machine and drying rack was great for our trip before and after TDP. Kitchen has pots and pans for us to cook, just needed to buy our own oil and spices. Rooms had usb wall outlets which was convenient to charge all our electronics. Heater worked perfectly and lots of hot water. Host was quick to respond and helpful!

The property is located just a short walk from bus terminal. Gisela was prompt and great to communicate with. They allowed us to store luggage for 5 days before our stay as we were freckling Torres de Paine. Apartment was clean and comfortable.

Perfect stay

Here’s a refined version of your review: This centrally located apartment is a gem! It’s surrounded by plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, all within a block, making it incredibly convenient. The apartment itself is well-equipped with a functional kitchen and a washer, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The host went above and beyond with her kindness and thoughtfulness. On Christmas Day, when we returned from the park, she not only provided clear instructions for the door key but also proactively shared information about nearby restaurants and grocery stores that were open—a gesture that truly made our day. I highly recommend this place, especially for families traveling together. It was a fantastic experience!

This is a nice modern apartment. The check-in instructions were prompt and helpful. There was no contact with the owner and the way everything was set up, there was no need to meet anyone. The place looks pretty new. It is close to the bus terminal. The rooms, beds, linen, and towels were clean. The laundry machine was definitely a bonus. Everything wasn’t perfect though, and the shower setup is such that the water spills over, and the hinged glass shield is ineffective. I feel a shower curtain or some other floor to ceiling shield would work better. You shouldn’t have to mop the floor after taking a shower. Some blinds worked and others did not overlap properly, and being on the ground floor, we had concerns with privacy. These issues can be easily fixed, for a five star rating.

Self Check In, 7 min walk to bus terminal

Overall the accomodation was comfortable. There is a washing machine inside our room. Facilities are new. It is a 7 minute walk to the bus terminal to El Calafate. There are many food options and supermarkets, within a 5 minute walk from the apartments. Do remember to receive text from owner before going, there is no receptionist at the apartment. We were stucked for about 5 minutes as we couldnt find anybody there. Thankfully we found a number and managed to contact the owner who then assisted us with digital lock access code to access our apartment.

This property was really great value for what you pay. There is a full kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, coffee/tea/sugar, dishes, anything you need to cook. It also had a washing machine and they provided you with a laundry soap pod and a drying rack which we made good use of. The owner sends you a message the day before with the code to the door which made it very simple to access. We were worried about parking as we had read other reviews that there were few parking spots (which is accurate) but you can very easily park on the street which was easy. The owner of the property was very responsive to communicate with. The area was surprisingly quiet at night and we stayed for 5 nights in mid-November. The only reason I didn’t give this property a 5 was because the shower was not great but I would stay here again in a heart beat. It was a 2 hour drive to Torres Del Paine and the shops and restaurants in town were within walking distance
