The Flamingo on the Cotee River
The Flamingo is a ground-floor studio featuring a private entrance, bedroom, and a spacious master bathroom. A small buffet bar features a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hotplates, and an air fryer. Watch the boats cruise down the Cotee River from your room or outside on the screened-in patio.
If you'd like to check in early, check with me. It's possible. If you are staying only one night, please check with me about a reduction in the cleaning fee.
There are 4.5 other units available on the property. The half-room is the Hostage room. Lol! It is located downstairs inside the house, featuring a private 1/4 bath. It is less than 100 sq ft but is cozy with a TV, bed, dresser, a/c, and a 1/2 bath across the hall. It's usually used by guests who are visiting full-room guests. Ask me for info. Private dock. Boaters Paradise is located on the Cotee River about .5 mi from the open Gulf. Bring your fresh catch (grouper, tuna, Mahi, snook, sheepshead, and more) and throw it on the grill. Giant outside property on the river with dock access.
My friends say the house is haunted. Lol! The man who built the home is also said to haunt the downtown Suncoast Theater. You can make your own decision. If Willard does haunt the house, he is a nice ghost. No clocks will keep time, so you'll notice there aren't any in the house.
Surrounded by several tiki bars within kayaking distance. Can also kayak to downtown, Sims Park, Durney Key, Anclote Key, and several sandbars.
There are several places nearby to rent boats, paddleboards, and bicycles. I have/ several kayaks which are free to use.
Golf cart rental is also available.
Visit downtown New Port Richey, home to several new restaurants, breweries, and bars. Check out Sims Park for festivals and concerts. Try Tropical Breeze Casino.
Daniel Green pellet smoker/bbq available.
Extremely clean, well-behaved pups are welcome for a $25 fee.
Buy cheap hot dogs to feed the birdie (Rudy). He's the one in the pictures.

We loved our stay in the Flamingo room. Everything about this place was correct. Host was great and very nice, we will definitely be back for a longer stay to book some of the other rooms, they all have different themes. Place is very quiet and laid back. Close enough to fantastic restaurants down the river or road. Also check out the restaurants in historic downtown NPR.
The room was comfortable and clean. The owner’s two little dog came and greeted us every morning on the screened in porch while we had coffee. In the evening we sat on the dock and watched the moon rise. We enjoyed being close to waterfront Restaurants and bars.
Very nice accommodations with extra amenities. Amy is a such great host and she quickly responded to any questions and we were made very comfortable. We certainly enjoyed our first stay in New Port Richey!
Booked the Flamingo Room for an quick girls trip. We had a fantastic stay, everything clean and functional. Our room was even ready early. Amy was super helpful giving us a rundown of how everything works. We enjoyed using the kayaks to go up the river to Main St and back. The backyard is very large, there's plenty of seating in and out of the sun. There were plenty of restaurants in the area to checkout. The owner's dogs were a very welcome bonus and we loved having the run by for a visit! I would absolutely book this room again next time I have friends or family visiting.
The Flamingo room is a studio apartment within an interesting complex of four apartments and the owner's quarters. Its windows look out right onto the picturesque Cotee River. Lodgers have use of a shared patio and other amenities. It's small but well appointed and nicely decorated. It has a refrigerator and microwave, but not a full kitchen. Historic downtown New Port Richey is a fifteen minute walk or five minute drive.
The room we stayed in, the Flamingo room, was beautiful and very clean. Owner of the property, Amy, is really nice and friendly. She keeps a really clean home an the decorations really made us feel like we were on vacation! Close to US 19 which made it super easy to get to any destination. Will definitely stay again!
