Not alot of parking if you have a couple pickups,house was clean. Alot of sand from previous guest in the hot tub,beach access sucked but the view was awesome from living room..Overall pretty cozy..

The property is old and could definatly use a face lift. Such as.... a couple of the beds need to be replaced and all the pots and pans need to be replaced. Cabinets are 1950's painted wood and the chais andvtables are all beat up..... that kind of stuff.That said, it was clean and functional. We had family in the area staying nearby, for a similar price, they had very modern and nice accomidations. This property should be ipdated or charge less for the lower quality building and furnishings.The view is amazing, but there is no direct access to the beach. There is a sgared neighborhood trail that requires you to go thru other peoples yards and ford a small creek to get to beach.

Beautiful location

Beautiful views from the family room. The stairs leading downstairs and the downstairs carpet were very dirty. The dishwasher was full of dishes. Overall a very nice stay but, just needs a new housekeeper.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our kids and grandchildren all met at this wonderful ocean get a way. It was perfect from the 2 kitchens.. 2 sets of washer and dryers and well stocked kitchen with dishes and all necessities. It was so wonderful having a beautiful large home for our family to enjoy each other. We loved the hot tub too. It just couldn't have been more perfect. The views were incredible. The fire pit was nice too for roasting marshmellows. It was a wonderful vacation and made many memories for our family.

While the pictures in the listing photo are of the property, they are deceptive of the layout of the property. The property says that beach access is 5 minutes away by the listed path, well it took us between 10 and 15 minutes to get there and that was only with the help of a lady in the adjacent neighborhood giving us directions. When we first arrived on Monday, we had dirty clothes that needed to be washed. While the upstairs washer worked fine, the upstairs dryer did not work. We called the rental agency who stated that a maintenance person would be there either Monday evening or Tuesday. No one ever arrived during our entire stay. There was a dryer in the downstairs area which we used until it quit working on Wednesday night. We called the rental agency back on Thursday morning and the agent said a maintenance person would be out sometime Thursday. Again no one ever showed up. The final negative comment was that the house had an infestation of big black carpenter ants which we had to kill a number of these. Besides the issues listed, the house did serve our needs. It has a great ocean view from the living room area. It is close to the lighthouse and Wal-Mart.

Great location - house needs help

This is a mixed review hoping to help others thinking of staying here. The location and view are fantastic with a short 5 minute walk down to Agate beach and a panoramic view from the dining and living area. I booked the location because we had a fairly large group - two couples + 4 kids total. The space worked well to accommodate our group. The house needs work. There is a funk in several of the areas that makes me think there may be water issues somewhere. The kids refused to use the shower attached to the main upstairs bedroom area because they thought is was gross. There were noises coming from the attic area over the top of the dining area that sounded like a critter is living there. Dishes in the covered were covered in crumbs and did not appear to have been washed after the previous guest. The house is divided into two units and feels very disjointed, and the spaces do not appear to have been updated anytime in the last few decades. Would I stay here again...? Maybe but it might not be my first choice.

Overall it was a nice stay. Clean, spacious, lovely views. Fit our group of multigenerational adults and kids well.It was quite hot - most windows don't open, there is a sunroom attached, and there is no AC!Beach access is in walking distance, but on a separate property, and included a narrow and inclined trail. We were glad we checked it out before taking the little ones with. Thankfully there is a nearby public beach that was easier to access. We did have to drive though. Since it was unclear to us when booking, I will add that the upper and lower units are one house (mid-century 2 story). The second/lower unit is the walkout basement. We were happy to all be together!

Huge home if upper and lower are rented. Beautiful view

I came here with my married son, his wife and new baby, and my 2 teenagers. I was hoping my parents could join us so I rented the lower unit as well. Even though they could not, it was nice to have total privacy and the hot tub all to ourselves. The wall of windows overlooking the beach was stunning. The house is very cozy. The side bedroom has a private bathroom and feels somewhat detached which my son and daughter in law loved. The sun room was a cozy place for an extra hang out room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to cook for a few days. The house could have been cleaned a bit better when we arrived. The bathroom in the main part of the house was not all the way cleaned with a dirty bar of soap amd hair on the tub. That was disappointing. The dishwasher needs to be cleaned professionally inside since there was lots of guck on the bottom that I took out before I started my load before I left. There were chips under the couch cushions. But above those things that I hope is changed before we rent there again, is the bed in the room with the ocean view and the bed downstairs. They were hard as rocks. I have never slept on a bed that actually made me want to get out of bed way early because my body hurt so bad from sleeping on it. I really hope this gets fixed. My son who was sleeping downstairs couldn't even sleep on that bed and came upstairs to sleep on the couch instead. Wanted to point out to watch out for the TV in the room off of the sun porch, the TV is hanging by zip ties. My kids loved this house and we enjoyed the Hot Tub in its tropical setting. It was soo cozy and felt like we could stay for a long time. The beach is a bit of a hike to get to so most of us didn't walk down there. At lease Beverly Beach is up the Hwy a few minutes. Don't miss Yaquinta Lighthouse a couple minutes up the street. Gorgeous views. Also, the best bakery anywhere in the Pacific NW is just up the street My Petite Sweet.

Quaint House with Beach Views

The home was clean, and the check in process was easy. The access to the beach described as a five minute walk was not very accurate, while the creek was mentioned the depth of the creek to access the ocean was understated.

Great Family getaway

Here are the plusses and minuses of this rental. First the plusses: Plenty of space. Fabulous views. A short walk from Agate Beach. Multiple air beds if people want to spread out. Fairly well stocked kitchen. Hot tub. Barbecues. Two garage spaces available. Very clean. Now the minuses: the lock boxes were very difficult to open and it wasn't clear if we were to use the lock box or the keypad on the doors. The beds, bedding, pillows could have been newer particularly for the amount of money we paid for the place. A bed on the floor was a little weird. The surprise taxes, cleaning fees added about $300 per day to the cost, which was not clear until we went to book the place. The road is very difficult to locate at night, maybe a reflective sign would help.

Reviewer Comments: The beach house was really beautiful and the view was incredible. Lovely gardens, great jacuzzi, the kitchen was nice. Clean, quiet, and peaceful location. I wouldn't stay here again because the beds were really uncomfortable, the pillows were old and uncomfortable, the comforter had a rip in it and was very old. The towels were like sandpaper - the worst towels I have ever had anywhere. I loved the place but if they could update all their beds/comforters and linens that would help a lot. The 5-minute walk felt more like a 10-minute walk to the beach but was really pretty. Beach was lovely sand dunes that took some getting used to walking on but we really loved the beach there. We came back really tired from not sleeping that great in the beds. Overall we had a great time. It was close to Newport and had nice restaurants.

Family from upstate NY and Reno were able to join us in this large rental! The views from the upstairs were amazing! The hike to the beach was short and easy to access. Great place on the ocean!!!

Beautiful views

This was a charming house with such character and wonderful ocean views for a large group. We had the whole house with 8 bridesmaids getting ready for a wedding on Agate Beach. The fire pit, host tub, and large living space was absolutely perfect!
