“We loved staying in Terre’s little bungalow. The proximity to the surfing beach and all the beautiful jungle around us was amazing! We enjoyed going into Hilo for the Farmer’s Market, bakery and the swimming area at the east end of town. It was also a great location for us to venture out to the Volcano National Park, then up north to the waterfalls. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”

“The best experience with a rental property ever. The location was absolutely amazing and the home was immaculate - very private yet close enough to everything we needed and wanted to do. Raul and his family were really great - our kids enjoyed playing with theirs and loved the being able to feed and play with and feed the dog, goats and chickens. We will 100% come back and use this property on our next trip back!”

Not a fancy place, but had everything we needed and was well stocked and had nice touches like a lot of plugs around! Nice and helpful host, too! Would stay again on a return trip!”

We had no issues other than a little noise from upstairs that was mentioned in other reviews We contacted Maggie once about a remote that wasn’t working and she responded quickly and corrected the problem. We would rent the place again.”

“The property lists a kitchen but there is not. The is a refrigerator, plates/cups/etc and some plug in appliances, but washing dishes in a tiny bathroom sink was not ideal. There was laundry accessible and the house was very safe and comfortable during a hurricane. Just beware that if you are looking for a kitchen, there isn’t really. Otherwise the property was perfect for our stay.”

“We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. ”

“The complex where this unit is located is in need of some extreme TLC. Once inside the unit, the unit is just ok. It was comfortable for sleeping and the shower had good water pressure. The kitchen pans are in really poor condition. The pictures make it look nicer than I felt it was. We knew it was a studio but the kitchen had no space whatsoever. There were no chairs at the pool and it was not an inviting space at all. The unit will be fine for some, but for me, it was not worth the cost……
