「L’hôtel est incroyable. Toute les chambres ont vue sur la ville et l’océan. Le spa était tellement agréable. Piscine et bains à remous chauffés. Spa sec et spa humide, douche froide et piscine extérieur. Tout y était pour la détente. Le restaurant était très bien. Nous avons bien mangé et surtout le service était impeccable. Le buffet déjeuner inclus était très bien aussi. Assez de choix variés, céréales, bol yogourt a garnir, fruits frais, viande froide, fromages, œuf et omelette, bacon,...

「Quinta Atlantis is a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. The craftsmanship of the wood is amazing and the fireplace is awesome. A great place for solo or couple travelers in the hills of Povoacao. You’ll spend time with the dog Laika and the cat Pluto who are very friendly, but will give you space as well. Breakfast is the best you’ll get on the island. Fruit, eggs, fresh Jam, yogurt, vegetables and hummus. I will surely stay there next time I’m on Sao Miguel.」

「From the moment you arrive at Furnas Lake Forest Living, you feel a sense of calm. The reception was easy to find and we received a very warm welcome and explanation of the property, then were guided to our house. 「The views are amazing! And the staff is very nice. Unfortunately the hotel breakfast was poor and of very mediocre quality. The dinner restaurant was a buffet with mediocre cafeteria quality items. Most surprising was the fact that the towels were ancient and yellowed badly needed replacement. The hotel needs a renovation if it is to become an attractive place. A pity since the location is truly phenomenal.」

「Room was clean and tidy. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool was clean, hardly any debris found in it. Some ants would gather near the garbage can. We notified front desk of this and they said they would add something to get rid of them but they remained. Didn’t both us really the ants were tiny. The views were great by the ocean - waking up to see the ocean everyday was wonderful. There’s an outdoor walkway that takes you to the road connecting to the beach....

「The view from the upper rooms of the ocean is breathtaking. The bed is comfortable and the small kitchen space has the basics of what you need. The patio space is shared with other units (although some bamboo provides a bit of privacy) so others smoking &/or having loud conversations can affect the tranquility. The surrounding area is farmland so it is very tranquil. The lodge is under renovation/construction - something we didn’t know. But the work stops in the afternoon so there was no issue....
