The old Griscom Gold Mine and Stamp mill at the bottom of Findley Ridge on Tanyard Branch in the North Georgia gold rush town of Dahlonega. The stamp mill was built in the 1870's but has been abandoned for decades. It is now on the verge of collapse.
I think this might be my favorite from the trip. I am going to come back up here now that I know it's here. I didn't expect this little forest service road to offer so much beauty.
On the campus of Toccoa Falls College is this waterfall. What a place to study/read/relax! We discovered this spot in north Georgia on a #roadtrip up I-85.

This is one of the many short falls on the Tallulah River at the bottom of Tallulah Gorge. To reach this point you have to climb 400 steps to the bottom of the gorge, cross the river (not easy) and hike about a half mile. It's a rugged hike over boulders and rock faces. Not for the faint of heart!
