Lihue Nukolii Beach Park Hotels

"This was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. On our first night, the fire alarms went off around midnight and continued for nearly an hour. Not once did we receive any communication or even a basic apology from the hotel, which was extremely disappointing. There were also several maintenance issues in our room. The shower and sink drains were clogged, causing water to drain very slowly. While the property is currently under construction, the condition of the wall in our room was poor and clearly unfinished. Getting to and from the room was also inconvenient, requiring multiple elevator transfers. If you happen to forget something in your room after reaching the parking lot, it’s honestly quicker to just buy it elsewhere than make the trip back. To make matters worse, the battery in our room’s door lock died, leaving us waiting outside for quite some time until staff could come and fix it. While it’s clear the resort is attempting improvements through ongoing construction, the issues we encountered were unrelated and should not have happened regardless. Additionally, the location is quite secluded, meaning longer drives to reach most attractions around the island. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For a similar price point, you’re better off choosing a hotel with fewer issues and a more convenient location."

"The room was gorgeous, good view and great vibes! There was ample supplies to go to the beach with as well as a good amount of utensils & stuff to make and store some quick food! Great property super close to the beach would stay again 10/10!"

"Comfortable and quiet but a long walk from the lobby (not too bad tho). Close to the beach. Listing details are accurate. Excellent communication from host. Starbucks in the lobby () and a sundry a souvenir shop (). View is to die for and really what you’re paying for. Driftwood Bar and Grill is poolside. Drinks are nice, food is ok — good choices for kids. Parking is 40/day and you will need a rental car unless you plan to stay at property the whole time. 40 fee includes valet service but self-parking lot is close to the entrance if you’re fed up with tipping. All staff we met was very friendly. "

"The room was great, as advertised. The hotel itself could use some fresh paint and love. The lobby was being redone during our stay so there were not many options to hang out during rain etc. the location was central to get around anywhere on the island. Had to pay for parking a rental car which we were unaware of, it was $320 for eights days. "

"Could have supplied at least a microwave in the room there was one that was shared, and it was dirty for the whole string of buildings. The Coke machines were buzzing so loudly. We are thankful we did not have a room next to them, but that should definitely be addressed. One of the ice machines were not working there was active leaking in the hallways. The doors sometimes didn’t work. The room itself was very hard to get to navigation was a bit of an obstacle the grounds itself was beautiful. The beach had a lot of glass and plastic and debris scattered about. We were offered a midday cleaning. We kept our room very tidy when we walked in. We noticed no difference. The floor was definitely not vacuumed. The only thing that I could see was done was we were given to exchange the towels that we received smelt moldy the parking was 40 a night for parking that was more than we paid for the car itself. The parking was full in the evening and it was quite a trek during the rain. The roof that was over the cars was leaking and during the big rains there were puddles ankle deep, and you could not even park your car in certain areas. The unit itself was clean when we arrived And the grounds were meticulous and beautiful."

"Absolutely nothing wrong with the room, everything was perfect. Only complaint was half the hotel was under construction so a lot of amenities were closed, but that is out of the hosts control. 10/10 would book again! "

"The ocean was visible from the room, and the nice looked out on a wide open field with no buildings in site. The room was very clean, and be patient. Michael was excellent at his response time and attention to detail. Very pleased with this property."
