I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. If you’re planning a short trip and want somewhere comfortable to stay, I highly recommend the Sand and Tan beach Hotel. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the parties on the weekend are so much fun. If you’re a young couple or anyone looking to immerse yourself in Jamaican culture with great food and great service, then this is the perfect place for you. It is perfectly situated in Ocho Rios where you can access the great excursions nearby and the staff are all friendly and willing to assist you with anything you need. I will definitely be looking to return in the future.

The beach, bed and view was good. This is an old building on the beach.Surrounding areas were horrible. Loud music and smell of Marijuana was off putting. Everything about this hotel is dated.

I was quite happy with my stay at Sand and Tan. The staff was warm and accommodating. The food was delicious and the Jamaican vibe was real. The entrance to the hotel could use some updates, however the facilities was clean and comfortable.

The bathroom and bedroom needs some form of carpet, the floor was cold after returning from the beach, and showering which is right on the facility shores.

I love the natural settin g and minimalistic approach to hospitality. I would like to see renovated facilities that reflect the up market opportun ity coming to Jamaica. Re-opening the old road from Shaw Park to make a much bettewr sense of arrival.

The beach is wonderful. Owner and staff need a class on proper etiquette . Great place for a budget vacation. Bed was comfortable. All you need is your bathing suit. Don’t go expecting too much, you won’t get it . Too many cats .

We got in late at night. It wasn't an area I would normally stay. No roll-away bed, son had to sleep on floor, no washcloths. Bar and restaurant closed at 9:30. I need to do a better job reading reviews.

Beautiful beach access! Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean with running hot water. The food is on the pricey side and the bar closes fairly early imo (9pm), so if you’re hungry or thirsty late be prepared to venture off the property, but the party vibes are very nice during the weekend. Breakfast is very nice, worth the wake up and the view from the rooms are amazing! Would absolutely stay again :)

Honestly, we didn't even come out of the vehicle. The outside of the place and the so called parking area looked like something out of the slum. Not exaggerating. The pics on the site are way past misleading. I had no intention to explore. We had to do maneuvers to turn and get out. We went further down the road for our stay. I intend to call about a refund.

Managers outright lied and have been dodging refunding my stay for two months. I had been holding off on reviewing in hopes that they would keep their word, but it doesn’t appear that they are. Everyone here was super rude, the crab legs were rotted and black on the inside making it inedible, and it is NOT all inclusive even though it states it is. You’re allowed two drinks with a meal. It’s in a very unsafe area. You can’t freely come and go from the hotel because it’s a gated and locked door because of how bad the neighborhood is. You can’t enjoy the beach because of the gang activity on the beach. It’s completely unsafe and the staff is awful. It’s literally a shack that is barely standing.
