I first saw 155 Edward St online and was impressed by its photos, the listing of all items available and the property's close proximity to the city. In the photos the property looked in better condition, the paintwork looked fresh and the hall flooring looked totally intact. Your reviews from recent visitors tell of a townhouse which was excellently presented but this was at odds with what we found. The skirting boards and window ledges weren't cleaned and were the result of condensation from colder times mixing with dirt. I'm sure your cleaners are cleaning the above with suction, however, I think that the grime has accumulated overa number of the years and needs a more thorough approach. There was also this same residue on some powerpoints eg metal pipe running from cupboard to power point. Some of the furniture is in need of repairs (no handles on cupboards in bedroom) and a few items could do with some tlc.
We were concerned with the lack of space between the bed and fire place in the bedroom nearest the kitchen. My husband commented that if someone was to get out of bed on the side near the mantlepiece during the night, they would have to be really careful not to knock their head on the mantlepiece as they stood up.
Another safety issue was that the rug in the family/kitchen room curled upwards on one side quite sigificantly making it easy for someone to trip over it.
The townhouse is styled very attractively but overall the property was not up to a luxury standard. It definitely needs new paintwork and the two safety issues I mentioned should be addressed. Your cleaners are doing an acceptable job and shouldn't be blamed for the the issues I have raised in my review.
