Beautiful and calm

We were only here for one night on our way to Roma, but Locanda Rosati is an idyllic spot about 10 minutes outside of Orvieto. The grounds are beautiful, even in December. We look forward to returning in the spring/summer someday!

It's a special place, almost once in a lifetime. If you choose to eat at the "resort" tou will experience real family style dining, well worth it.

This hotel needed an extra space for “one of the cleanest hotels “ ever - great staff - so quiet and such beautiful gardens . Owner and staff were so helpful . We loved it and have already recommended it to our friends - located near both Orvieto and Civita - don’t miss either city - we began our Italy trip here and it was a great start !

Good but overpriced

The hotel is located in a beautiful area. The owner is very friendly and very helpful in giving tips and advice on travel in the area. The rooms are very standard and basic. Bathroom likewise. Don't expect anything fancy. Dinner with all the guests was nice and tasty. Overall it was a good experience but in my opinion overpriced in comparison to the other places we stayed in while in Itsly

Peaceful country retreat.

Arriving after a 30 hour trip from Australia we were so pleased we had chosen Locanda Rosati. Our room was lovely, bed so comfortable and a great bathroom. We enjoyed a glass of local wine on the terrace before joining our host and other guests for a lively dinner with well cooked delicious local food and great conversation. Orvieto is just a short drive away. Really hope we can return to the Locanda one day and would definely recommend to all.

One night away from the noise.

Our stay at Locanda Rosati was right in the middle of our Italy trip. We were making our way own Tuscany from Florence to Rome. After nights in Milan, Venice, Florence and Siena. Locanda Rosati (just 15 min drive from Orvieto) represented a breather for us. We had been taking tours and walking a lot so it was a relaxing night. The place is great, it has about 10 rooms and a big living area as well as a large dining room. The highlight of the place is definitely the garden area, we visited in late April so vegetation was already blooming. We were greeted by both owners and given a brief explanation of the property and the surroundings. I booked this place because of the reviews and they were right, the place , the people and the food were quite wonderful. I share the same concern as other reviewers with the price for dinner. Even though food was good and abundant, wine and other liquors like Grappa and Limonciello were included, at 40 Euros per person it was by far the most expensive (non luxury) dinner we had in Italy in the whole 3 weeks we were there. Now... that said, we did have a lot of fun at dinner sharing stories with other guests. The experience as a whole was fulfilling. I would like to come back in summer one day, it is a great place for families.
