"We stayed aboard the Queen Mary over Halloween weekend and had a great experience! It was definitely busy, but that's to be expected during Halloween, especially with all the festivities going on.
Our room was nice and comfortable, although it was pretty cold! Thankfully, there were extra blankets in the room, which helped quite a bit. We didn't bother calling about the heat or spending much time figuring it out since the extra blankets did the trick. If you tend to get cold easily, that's something to keep in mind.
One funny little incident was that the steam from our hot shower actually set off the fire alarm! Haha! So just a heads-up if you enjoy really hot showers. You might want to be mindful of the steam building up in the bathroom.
Another thing to know is that **parking is $39 per night**, so be sure to factor that into the cost of your stay. It's an additional expense that's worth knowing about ahead of time, especially if you're staying multiple nights.
One thing I would recommend is allowing yourself some extra time to explore the ship. Unfortunately, we didn't get around to walking through the historical areas or taking one of the tours, which I regret. There's so much history aboard the Queen Mary, and staying overnight gives you a unique opportunity to experience it.
If you're visiting during Halloween weekend, expect crowds and a lively atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, you might prefer visiting at a different time of year."
