We’ve payed around 5000 dollars to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights, considering that we were star class, the check-in process was fine, they explained us our benefits, etc… During this period of time, the food was awful. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner is this So Cal Buffet, and the quality of the food was horrible. The food was cold, cheap, disgusting and even hard to even look at or swallow. The people next to the table even called the food ‘’ass’’. And I totally agree. The lunch menu was fine, totally what one could expect but still it was horrible. The dinner menu was very delectable, especially the traditional Costa Rican menu, the soup was delicious and it was a great meal. But don’t get me started on the staff at the buffet, the receptionist was really friendly, the waitresses too, they did their duties greatly. Some of the cooks had a bad attitude, they were dry, rude, serious. We were trying to reserve the sushi restaurant for a whole entire day, we tried to contact staff to help us reserve but they always told us that we needed to talk with the woman there. Still she was never there, we arrive there when she was supposed to be there and she still wasn’t there. When we arrived to the sushi restaurant, the food was salty and very hard to swallow. The customer service was awful in some parts of the hotel, some were nice but some weren’t even welcoming. This all-inclusive hotel isn’t worth coming from, we would never come back here ever again!

My stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica was absolutely amazing. I arrived early due to my flight, and although my room wasn’t ready until 3 PM, the receptionist didn’t charge anything extra and gave me full access to all amenities and restaurants right away. The all-inclusive package was definitely worth it. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee spots, so it never felt repetitive. The food was excellent with lots of variety, and the drinks were always high quality. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The resort is beautiful, with a unique black sand beach. I had an ocean view room, and the views were breathtaking. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with water, soft drinks, wine, and beer. I especially loved the Hollywood-themed setup and the autographed movie collections—it added a fun and unique touch. The tour desk was very helpful and booked a great catamaran trip for me. I also appreciated not feeling pressured about tipping. Even though I booked late for reserved restaurants, the staff helped me get in. There were also plenty of free activities and amazing night entertainment. Special thanks to Emilio, David, Daiana, and Karina for making my stay even more memorable. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

Estuvo precioso una gran experiencia, solo nos quedamos 2 noches y tuvimos un problema con el booking de un restaurante pero de verdad fenomenal, y para sellar con broche de oro, cuando íbamos saliendo del cuarto el muchacho de transporte nos vio y se bajo a ayudarnos a sacar más maletas nos llevó a los carros y nos llevó a la recepción muy buen servicio el de Michael el chófer.

Same breakfast everyday but huge selections (Tamara and Maris delicious ice coffees). Room very clean and staff sooo helpful and made our stay great. Gabriela concierge went beyond our expectations and made my wife’s Birthday a success.Swim up bar employees are top notch. Texmex restaurant delicious (Luis Carlos and Randal) went above and beyond. Small resort compare to others but made it for a more welcoming vibes. You cannot walk anywhere since its a bit remote on a mountain. We did an excortion using hotel booking team. All day round trip and guide included. Ohh, forgot the Asian food restaurant is a big 10!!!

Overalls a decent trip and all serving staff and welcoming staff were wonderful. Our concierge Kevin was very helpfull and available. Food was good! I was disappointed in the replenishment of drinks and snacks in our room…the last day we had no face clothes replaced and the hotel lotion bottle not replaced. To me these little things that moved my rating down…outside of that it was a really good experience.

All Star Goes to Staff and their Effort. I had all along a very good stay but 2 times had almost horrible experiences. 1. there is no onsite taxi service and the onsite tour service nexus tours were not really very coordinated. 2. Food at the italian place was sent all burnt. food at the mexican restruant was delayed for like 40 mins. there was a clear discrimination for people like me. the condition where they dont have any taxi or onsite shuttle almost could have cost me few grands of USD to loose my flight and stranded. I felt if i would have had a medical emergency then Planet Hollywood didn't have anyone on call or "star class" member benefit had nothing. something to be mindful if planning to book a stay here.

My fiance and I recently stayed at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica and overall had a great experience, especially with the Star Class service. While the housekeeping could have been better—there were a few inconsistencies with room cleanliness, mainly our bathroom & shower walls and restocking the in-room coffee with pods. What truly stood out was the Star Class butler/concierge service. Henry, our butler, was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of—from reservations to special requests—and was always attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. His level of service really elevated our entire trip and made us feel taken care of every step of the way. The resort itself is nice and friendly staff, good food options, and a fun atmosphere. Special thank you to Henry for making our stay unforgettable—I would definitely return because of service like his!

The breakfast was okay the restaurant sushi and Italian place we’re disappointing the pool was good the pool bar at the front was not good they didn’t make the drinks I asked for server walking around were unhelpful just said they would be back then never showed up.

We have traveled to many South American and Caribbean destinations through Expedia, but our stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica has been one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From the very beginning, even the check-in experience was smooth and welcoming. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable right away—setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I want to especially recognize Neolia Veron, who truly went above and beyond for us. As strict vegetarians, we often struggle while traveling, but she made sure we had plenty of options. She personally coordinated with different restaurant managers and handled our reservations so that our dietary needs were always taken care of. Her attention and care made a huge difference in our stay. A heartfelt thank you to Alina, who was driving the golf cart around the property. My wife is pregnant, and Alina noticed that and didn’t hesitate to help—she carried almost 50 lbs of luggage herself and made sure we were comfortable throughout. That level of kindness and care is something we will never forget. We also want to appreciate Christopher, the manager at the Tex-Mex restaurant, who made special arrangements for our dinner to accommodate our vegetarian preferences. The food and service were excellent. I’m sure I’m forgetting many names, but honestly, every single staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
