"The hospitality is fantastic at the property—the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, our room was upgraded, and the spa service was perfect. Where secrets can improve is the cleanliness and the upkeep of the rooms and property. It definitely seems a little dated for its rating, and the sofa and chair in our room was stained in a way that we didn’t want to sit in them. It was nice to have a quiet pool and a party pool but the water in both were so hot it felt like bathwater. We were also disappointed in the food quality and the lack of Costa Rican dishes on any of the menus."
