This property is extremely dated and not kept up properly. The pictures online are old when the resort was in its prime. There is a lot of old kid playtime equipment sitting unused and rusting and very visible. The good news is the pools are okay, still need some upkeep, but are an okay part of the property. There is ONE main restaurant by the pool and one very small other by booking only. The rooms are dated as well. The location of the resort and the beach are its redeeming qualities. The views are stunning and the beach is calm, warm, and gorgeous. I would not return to this specific resort if asked.

The ocean/beach was beautiful and access was good with multiple shuttles going up/down the hill. Only 18 beach chairs available. Spectacular views from beach and restaurant at top of hill. Villas were dated. Hot water only at some. 3 keys needed to get in to villas.

So the place in general is beautiful. The view is amazing, and the pool area is very nice. This is an all inclusive hotel…..the food is horrible though. We had to go eat out for dinner just because we couldn’t with the food. No variety, and it was just not good at all. We went with our toddler and there was no kid appropriate food, we saw some other kids just eat plain rice and they were complaining too. Breakfast was “ok” but we didn’t even stay for lunch, it was not worth it for us. Staff was nice though, but unless you’re okay with a very limited menu I would not recommend coming here. Only the view is worth it.

The staff was absolutely amazing however the resort is in need of a lot of repairs. We switched rooms due to the hot water not working. Then the resort didn’t have wine, the “2nd restaurant” was only for the “honeymoon package” and the beach bar never opened. The views were beautiful and we made the best of it! The beach and sunset were spectacular. We heard the property sold when we were there so hopefully the needed repairs are done.

This could be a great property but it’s clearly not taken care of. Location is unbelievable but the pool and restaurant area has seen better days. Most disappointing was the food and drinks. There was only rice, beens, chips, fries, and dried out meat for every meal. Some of the bartenders don’t know how to even make a basic mojito.

The staff was very welcoming and nice. In my honest opinion, this resort had everything we needed. But if you want a party resort and more modern, this will not fully meet expectations. But this was a great couples getaway and we can see this being a family friendly place as well.

Very ran down, didn’t put new or fresh food out all day. The condiments sat on the counter the whole time we were there and never out into a cool space/ refrigerator. All our towels were stained and the 10 day beds to lay on are all very old and ripping. Would not stay again or recommend!

It is old and shows it. Our room had bugs from outside they came in around the unsealed door both side and underneath. Only 2 restaurants. Main redo was buffet and food was the same each day. Had to fight the flies for the food. Indoor restaurant was reservation only in the evening, really good food and service, but was not open every day. The staff was wonderful. The were friendly and went beyond to make our stay better. We will not return until grounds and buildings are cleaned up.

DO NOT BOOk THIS HOTEl!!! This hotel is the worse hotel I have ever been. Do not have restaurant only a salad bar and all the food is exposed to the flies. The only bar open has a ice chest that is rusted and all the flies are around the ice chest. Everything is so gross and filthy. Please don’t make the same mistake I made. We booked this hotel and had to be transferred to another hotel we didn’t even stay 1hr. DO NOT GET THIS HOTEL 1-10, I rate it a 0.

The rooms were good and the staff were wonderful. The location and view were excellent. Very easy to arrange everything including excursions. The property itself could use a lot of TLC. The buffet is very basic but good. The hilltop is not for the faint of heart!! But the trolley ran often. Beautiful beach access. Overall, I loved my stay in Costa Rica and can’t wait to visit again.

The views from the property were absolutely gorgeous. The staff seemed very eager to do whatever it took to make you happy. Unfortunately, the property is crumbling down around them and the staff are to be commended for doing their best in spite of the lack of property maintenance.

We were skeptical about this place based on the reviews here and on maps, but we’re glad we stayed at Condovac. We had a great stay, with just few inconveniences. The bad: we paid for a romantic room, which had a jacuzzi. The room itself was great, but the jacuzzi has NO hot water, and that’s a known issue to the staff, so the fact that they still advertise this room as having a working jacuzzi is misleading at best. We complained about this and they moved us to a different type of accommodation where things were a little dated but worked fine. The hotel ATM was broken, so we couldn’t have cash for tips or whatnot. Make sure to arrange your transportation back to the airport early on, preferably with a company not affiliated to the hotel. The taxi they had arranged canceled on us last minute, claiming the card machine had “just broken” and asking us to stop at the atm on the way. Pretty sketchy. Meals: Breakfasts were excellent. Lunch and dinner are ok. Plenty of fresh fruit available at those times, which was awesome. The snacks could be better, though. Now the good: this hotel has the most incredible views you could ask for. There’s an infinity pool from where you can watch the sea all day and then later the sunset. The restaurant provides the same views. You can even see some monkeys from afar! It was the favorite part of our stay. Most staff are super friendly (shoutout to Gin from the colibri restaurant and the bar, to name one). The pools are clean and lots of fun.
