My recent stay at Novotel Saint-Denis Paris was disappointing due to several issues that fell far below the standard expected of a hotel of this calibre.
Firstly, the hotel restaurant was advertised as open, yet we were not informed that the kitchen was in fact closed. We waited until 7pm for dinner, only to sit at a table in the restaurant and be told 15 minutes later that it was not open. Even the reception staff were unaware of this closure, which reflects very poor communication within the hotel.
Secondly, there was a water leak - kind of a burst hot water pipe during our stay, and no staff were available to assist. There was only a single receptionist trying to manage everything, which was completely inadequate for the situation.
Overall, the lack of communication and staff presence made for a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience. This hotel needs to urgently address both its internal communication and its staffing levels.
