"The cleaning lady did not clean the room properly such as either no new shampoo, or did not clean the bathroom floor at all. The breakfast is ok, not have too many varieties. The building is new so the room has strong chemical smell. The front desk told us to turn on AC to hide the chemical smell."

"I didn’t get to get on the pool, but the pool area was very clean. Loved the fireplace and patio. The staff was great very helpful. There’s a lot of food places and shopping areas near the hotel 5mins away. I would go back here again "

"The initial room we received was a mess. It should not have been rented in the condition it was in. We were moved to a second room, which clearly had been renovated. Still the chair was damaged as it leaned when we sat on it. The overall property needs to be renovated as well. The carpet is fairly shabby and the walls needing painting."

"At $150 a night, I expect at least a hint of feigned luxury from a hotel that looks that welcoming off the freeway. WoodSpring Suites Houston 288 South looked promising... but it lands near the bottom for me. Check-in was quick and clear. But for a double queen room with two guests (my 16-year-old son and me), we were given one key card. I've never seen that before. The room was okay and had a kitchenette, but no dish soap -- just a dishwasher tablet (overkill for the one fork I used). No iron or ironing board. No hand towels. No soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. No closet doors. No phone. No USB ports. The A/C squealed like it had rodents living in it. The TV setup felt straight out of 1985 with the slow-scrolling cable guide. My son missed the name of a movie and had to wait for the entire channel list to cycle back around. In 2026, why are we still doing this instead of smart TVs with streaming access? The Wi-Fi barely worked -- maybe five good seconds every fifteen minutes. I ended up driving to Walmart for an HDMI cable and used my phone hotspot just to stream. No "Do Not Disturb" sign meant a 7:45 a.m. knock from housekeeping looking for a towel request that wasn't mine. Then came three hours of hallway maintenance noise, ending just before checkout. Hotels shouldn't feel like anxiety endurance tests. This place had potential, but too many avoidable issues made it hard to relax -- especially at this price point. Wouldn't return."

"It was a very nice and spacious house the arcade was a nice touch for the children also. However I was looking foward to using the fire pit until I asked for the propane to be refilled and when asking the host, they said it wasn't part of the stay and they don't provide that. It was a bit disappointing when I had seen pictures of other people using it and was looking forward to it. All in all we enjoyed our stay other than that one inconvenience :)"

"My double bed room wasn't available. My son had to stay onba disgusting couch bed. When we pulled the cushions and flipped the matrress open it had old clothes and food wraoped innthe sheets. Showe had stains and mold towels had stains and sheets. Room smelt like old AC vented air. We traveld 6.5 hrs for an event for my son and he had to sleep on a old couch.."
