Sea Vista Motel

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Vista. Upon first sight it looked like an older motel. However, when we opened that door it was like a home away from home. Everything was tidy and comfortable. The best part was the balcony with the Adirondack chairs and rockers. The view was simply beautiful. Pulling back your curtains from your bed and being able to watch the activity on the ocean, from your bed in the morning, was great! I also loved the fact that it was away from all the crowd of the rest of the island, but not too far from a couple of restaurants, and ice cream. It also has it's own entrance to the beach. The managers of the motel were very straightforward and helpful. I'd definitely love to return to this motel, we were pleased!"

"Beautiful and well-stocked place! However, I’m a clean freak and I noticed several things. The floors were pretty dirty along the edges and harder to reach areas and there were a couple of dead bugs on the window sills. Like a lot of rentals, there was a bit of an insect problem. We killed three roaches whilst there and brought one home with us. We really liked the decor and the cool bathroom. As for sleeping arrangements, the bed in the bedroom was decent and the mattress upstairs was fine too. But be forewarned- the loft was incredibly hot, like 20-degrees hotter than the main level. Not great on a 95 degree day so prepare for hot sleeping! We had a problem with the main AC unit and let the host know- they were on it and had it fixed by the time we got back from the beach, which was awesome! Besides the cleanliness and insect issues (which can be easily fixed), this place was super cute and equipped for most of what you need while staying away from home."

"The property was very clean and had so much charm the way it was decorated. There is some upkeep that needs to be done to the home (rotting wood in the outdoor shower, needs a walkway from the outdoor shower to the front door, half of the blinds don’t work) but overall a truly great property just steps from the beach!"

"Fantastic location, convenient access to beach, clean, a little over a mile walk to restaurants and bars. Kitchen was well stocked. Twin mattress was not so comfortable but other beds were very good. Only real issue was oven side sliding door was hard to shut and could not get it locked. Elizabeth tried to get handyman to work on it but they weren’t available due to the holiday weekend. I would definitely rent again."

"We booked this place for a large group surf trip, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The house was absolutely fantastic and accommodated all of us with ease. One of the biggest wins was that every single bed was incredibly comfortable—which is exactly what you need after paddling out for hours.Speaking of paddling out, the views from the property are spectacular, and the waves were downright epic all weekend. On top of the amazing house, the host was incredibly nice, welcoming, and responsive. If you have a large crew looking for the perfect surf getaway, this is the spot. We will definitely be back!"
