“The hotel was clean, but in the room was feeling the mold smell, also they might be a bit more careful with the clients and in my room the sheets were not changed, found a lot of hair from previous ocupant. The staff was nice overall and helpful, they had free quick breakfast, they had the refrigerator and microwave in the room, I loved the shower.”

“Built in the early 1970's, the hotel is showing some age. It has a great location on the beach, and a nice pool with a spa and tiki bar. Aquarium is nearby, and Fort Macon and wild horses at Shackleford Banks aren't too far. Restaurant is a little pricey and has few healthy choices, and there's a service charge if you prefer to pay using a credit card which seems to be common in the area (in my opinion, it would be better to have a set price and offer a discount if you pay with cash rather than……

“My husband and I stayed 4nights. It was the best vacation we’ve had in years. Diane and Amari took very good care of us, even surprised us with an anniversary celebration surprise. Everyone there is very thoughtful. I would definitely recommend the lighthouse to anyone.”

“My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with our two children. It was quiet, and pretty clean. You could tell they are still in the process of making improvements to the place. But for the price we paid, it was better than expected. We also really only needed a place to shower and sleep the rest of the time we were on the beach or at the park across the street. It was a nice little weekend getaway.”

Our room wasn’t fully updated yet and could have used the walls cleaned and the towel bar adjusted but honestly it was an amazing little spot. Not to mention they were so sweet to our son. THe walk to the beach and stairs were a good bit of a hike but having direct access to the beach was 100% worth the stair climb! I will definitely be back!”

“It was a 2 star hotel but honestly it was very cute and clean. Simple walk to the beach and they had beach wagons to rent if you needed on a first come first serve basis. Staff was super helpful and very friendly! Was in a great location with shops and food close.”

“Front desk guys were rude. No elevators i had my cart ,told them I have cancer and a bad back how am I gonna get the cart upstairs and they shrugged their shoulders. Do rude. They soldered the bathtub stopper so u can't pull it up or down and take a bath, only a shower. The washer destroyed my clothes and stole 8$ of my quarters and they said they had nothing to do with the washer and dryer! And pool was about the size of a kiddy pool. Not worth the price. That's ridiculous and they lied ,they……
