Best vacation ever

They are located on Okaloosa Island where it is not as crowded as the Destin area beaches. But, Destin is only 6 miles away where we go for dinner. The Gulf is the "same pond" as Destin but more peaceful.

Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed on Okaloosa Island about 7 or 8 times in the last 15 years. We love the island. And we always enjoy our stay at the Pelican Isle property. Our unit was clean. The kitchen was equipped (we enjoy cooking and not dining out every night). The beach service is excellent. We especially like Pelican Isle because you can choose your when you want to stay. It doesn’t have to be Saturday to Saturday like most resorts. We stayed Wednesday to Wednesday.

A Perfect Beach Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I rented Pelican Isle 406 to celebrate our anniversary. It was pretty, comfortable, and had a perfect view of the ocean! Loved our balcony! We were very pleased overall. We also love the condo’s location on the Okaloosa beach. It’s farther from the pier (almost to the closed military section), and so always seems less crowded than other parts of the beach.!If you’re planning to do a lot of cooking, make sure you bring any special kitchen items you need from home, as the kitchen wasn’t super stocked. It worked just fine for us, though, as we ate most of our meals at our favorite seafood places! Yum!

Last minute vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Since the temperature was unseasonably warm, we booked a last minute stay at Pelican Isle in FWB. It was so quiet and peaceful there. The beach was empty and no long waits at restaurants. This brought back memories of being there in the fall over 30 yrs ago before the area was discovered. Our condo at Pelican Isle was very clean. Brooks & Shorey is a wonderful rental agency. We’ve booked thru them several times.

Wonderful stay!

Bring directly on the beach and chair service a big perk. Nice added touch of the beach chairs for use after beach service put away for the day! Clean, general kitchen supplies if not cooking a lot in the condo. Have stayed in this condo in 2016 and has had nice updates since then. Would stay here again.

We had a nice time but unit could have been cleaner

Unit was not as clean as I would have hoped. Dishes were dirty. As far as the grounds were concerned, the pool, pool chairs, green space, and grilling area left much to be desired. Overall, we had a nice stay but might look for a location with better outdoor amenities next time.

Beautiful Beach Paradise

Great View.....Except of the Bugs on the floor

The property had a beautiful view of the beach, and chairs on the balcony. It also had....cockroaches. My husband and I walked in and immediately noticed dust piled high on the washing machines (which also seemed to have mold in them), mold in the shower, soap scum, dishes that were spotty and had an odor to them, and EVERY night we were visited by cockroaches running through the kitchen and bathroom. The first night we pulled the comforter back to reveal stained white sheets as well. Contacted the company, telling them of the cockroaches as well. They offered to send a cleaning crew, but at that point, we had already gone to the TomThumb down the road and bought a bottle of bleach cleaner (along with refusing to use the washing machine or silverware), and clearly, a cleaning crew is not going to help their bug issue (which was ironically ignored and not addressed). They did drop off new sheets. Don't waste the money. Stay at a hotel with guaranteed cleanliness and that you won't be leaving with an extra guest in your bag.

Wonderful Stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything we expected and then some. Loved the condo and the view. The location is great. Would stay again. Thank you for having soaps, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and trash bags. The trash shoot and luggage cart were very handy. Could use a stock pot for making soup or pasta. Maybe some new knives
