「Nice room and staff」

「Easy to drive to the lake, adequate breakfast to fuel the day. Our room said it would sleep 6 when I reserved. When we got there it was a king and foldout sofa. We were a party of 5. Requested a rollaway, but it never appeared. We put one of the kids on a pallet on the floor.」

「The stay was good. Rooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. Was very disappointed that the pool was closed during our stay. Gym was nice」

「The staff was accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is rustic, relaxing, and looks and feels fresh. Breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed taking the paddle boards out onto the lake.」

「I have stayed at this facility before and I am always please with how accommodating they are, how friendly the staff is and the rooms are clean, comfortable and they seem to always go a little over and above to make my stay better whether it is upgrading my room if they can, allowing me to check in a little bit early so I don't have to sit and wait in my car, and allowing for late checkouts at last minute or in one case having to book an extra night due to a snow storm. I have been very happy...

「It was the cutest modern motel. My husband and I last-minute planned a getaway to Detroit Lakes for our anniversary. I found Beachfront Haven on the “Visit Detroit Lakes” website in places to stay. It was clean, cute, cozy, affordable, and we felt safe in the area. It is across the street from the lake, surrounded by amazing restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!」

「The room was nicely remodeled, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was great and there was room for everyone to find a table. The only area for improvement was the cleanliness of the hallways, and carpeting, which did not smell so good. Fortunately, as soon as we entered our room everything was very nice. Hopefully, they will make the hallways as nice as the rooms soon.」

「This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. 」
