Long established country house hotel located in beautiful spot on the banks of the River Tay and a great place to relax and unwind. The main baronial style hotel is quite grand and has a nice dining room. We stayed in the adjacent Riverside Rooms annexed to the main hotel. Both dinner and breakfast was excellent (the food is locally sourced) but (small issue) staff forgot to serve coffee one morning and tea the next morning at breakfast (with no apologies for the delay and oversight). The Riverside Rooms are dated (built 2000) and need modernisation. The bed was too soft for my liking.

Our stay at Ballathie was excellent. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food outstanding and the grounds stunning. Ballathie came highly recommended and we certainly will be back. If you're looking for somewhere special to stay in Perthshire definitely worth visiting Ballathie House Hotel.

Excellent customer service but the room, especially the bathroom, is getting obsolete and requires refurbishment. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but the food quality doesn’t justify with the expensive menu.

Wow. this place was definitely something else. The experience really begins at the entrance of the estate (do watch out for potholes). The environment where the estate is just absolutely lovely. The staff were also very kind and professional. I felt very welcome here. Would definitely come by again if I had the chance! I was in a rush so i couldnt get breakfast but I would 100% recommend.

Ballathie is in a lovely setting. We awoke to a beautiful, sunny spring morning and had a stroll round the gardens before heading off home after breakfast. The day before, we'd had a delicious meal in the dining room. Room was good, bar was cosy, all in all a very nice place.
