Nothing short than praise for this property. It is a hidden gem worth visiting for those who enjoy farm to table food. Great secure country walks and more. Don’t go here when you like wild and crazy. The hotel’s room pricing is a steal when you consider the massive breakfast that is included. The restaurant has a different menu every night based on what has come in from farms around and fish brought on shore.

Cosy 3 night stay
Great stay Nice apartment. Nice and quiet too Bed very comfortable and the linen was of good quality. Loved the wee touches like milk and bread and butter, tea bags. That's great especially if you arrive late and there's no stores open

Lovely hotel
I love staying in this hotel.The staff are so welcoming and kind.I had breakfast and it was excellent both mornings.I was working in the evenings so unfortunately no glass of wine for me but I know the hotel has an interesting wine list( from a previous stay)I had a walk round Pitfour Lake which is up a track behind the hotel.See photos

Weekend break
Just returned from a lovely weekend in room 9 at Saplinbrae. Great evening meal and delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Accommodation spotless.

The great thing about this hotel is it is on the Formartine Buchan Way, so you can cycle there, and while you’re there, easily. Very good food for dinner, and beautiful surroundings also

Perfect!
lovely stay. The rooms are very nice, there is a beautiful lake behind the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sitting at the fire place enjoying a glass of wine, what's not to like.

Perfect stay
Always stay here when on business, wish I had more customers in the area to stay more than one night! Rooms excellent, bed comfortable, great shower. Tunnocks teacakes in room a nice touch! Food always spot on and fantastic breakfast. Very quiet and lovely walk/run round Pitfour Lake on doorstep.

I'd Definitely use this place again.
We stayed in the hunting lodge despite booking a hotel room but it was very clean had a working tv great shower just what you would want definitely worth the money and the breakfast was amazing!

Very good food, nice area & friendly staff. Poor snack selection behind snug/bar, food finishes at 8pm so no room service after that, no 24 hour service available, room was without charge point in bathroom, room was next door to housekeeping store so some noise early. In general ok & best in area

Loved my room. The overall value was amazing. I honestly wish I had stayed at this property for a longer period. I got in a little late and had to venture out to find dinner, but the accommodations were comfortable and lovely. The breakfast was great, too.
