The Space:
This historic park ranger cottage sits on two private acres at the edge of Table Rock State Park.
You have the entire home and outdoor space to yourself. The cottage is positioned and landscaped in a way that feels calm and private once you settle in. The private trail begins just out the front door and leads directly into the park’s trail system. Guests regularly hike to waterfalls, the lake and overlooks without ever getting in the car. Many mention that once they arrive, they rarely feel the need to leave.
After a day outdoors, the pace naturally slows. Relax in the hot tub on the lower deck framed by the trees. The fire pit is intimate and starlit. The garden and grill area are meant for long evenings rather than quick meals. Inside, the house blends rustic character with modern comfort. It is intentionally simple, clean and functional. It is a comfortable and well equipped base for spending time outside and relaxing afterward.

Good to Know
This is a split level cottage with stairs to bedrooms on upper and lower levels and is not suitable for unsupervised small children.
Although pets are not allowed, ADA compliant service animals must be accepted.
Exterior cameras are located outside only for guest safety and property security. There are no interior or interior facing cameras.
On occasion, landscaping maintenance may occur during longer stays.
Additional House Rules and Property Guidelines:
• Your profile photo must clearly show your face. A valid, government-issued photo ID is required at the time of booking. Failure to provide this will result in cancellation.
• Must be at least 25 years old to book. No third-party bookings.
• No smoking or vaping inside or near the cottage. Smoking is only allowed at the fire pit. Violation results in a $500 fine plus remediation costs.
• No firearms, weapons, fireworks, or candles allowed anywhere on the property.
• Unauthorized guests or pets will result in immediate removal and non-refundable cancellation.
• ADA-compliant service animals must remain with the guest at all times and may not be left unattended. Emotional support animals are not allowed.
• Lost park pass incurs a $125 replacement fee. Lost house key incurs a $75 replacement fee.
• Tampering with exterior security cameras will result in immediate removal without refund.
• Additional charges may apply if the premises are left in abnormal condition.
• The property is for personal, residential use only. Commercial use of any kind is not permitted, including photo or video shoots, filming, workshops, retreats, or content creation intended for business or monetization. Unauthorized commercial use may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
• Certain amenities are provided as a courtesy and are considered non-essential, including the hot tub, EV charger, and Wi-Fi/internet. If an essential amenity is unavailable for more than 24 hours, compensation is limited to a maximum of $25 per day, at the host’s discretion. No refunds are provided for interruptions caused by weather, power outages, third-party utilities, or guest misuse. The host must be given reasonable time to attempt repairs.
• For stays longer than seven nights, bi-weekly cleanings are required at a cost of $75 per cleaning. Refusal to allow required cleanings may result in cancellation without refund.
• Mail and packages may not be sent to the property. The home is not a legal mailing address, and the host is not responsible for items sent in violation of this rule.
We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your plans. It's inexpensive and provides peace of mind if your trip needs to be canceled.
Guests with pet allergies: While pets are not allowed, we are legally required to accommodate ADA-compliant service animals.
