We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and located in a quiet area. Great ocean view and easy access to a very nice beach. Downtown St.Augustine was a short 20 minute drive from the house. Would definitely consider returning to this property in the future.

Great Beach Getaway

A charming and spacious property, right on the beach. One could hear the ocean from inside the house! It was just as pictured - with stylish, comfortable furniture, and decor and everything needed for a great vacation stay. Check in was seamless and communication with the company was helpful, prompt, complete. Great location

50th anniversary

This house was perfect for our multigenerational family and was spotless when we arrived. Unfortunately, there were electrical issues and, after consulting with the management company, a plan was put in place to satisfy our needs. An electrician was there the next day! You will enjoy this beautiful home!

Family Vacation

Portoro was very responsive when we called upon arrival finding a few things that needed attention. House was very comfortable and well appointed however we found some things that need to be attended to, which if they had been done prior to arrival we would have given a 5 star rating. Door out to deck does not fit properly and has foam around to seal. Foam at top of door comes off and allows bugs to come in. Pathway to beach is overgrown and needs to be trimmed back. There is a cracked window pane in the master bedroom and we also had to have the ceiling fan in the master bedroom fixed upon arrival as it was so off balance it was pulling away from the ceiling and quite noisy. This was attended to within 30-45 minutes of us reporting the issue and the repairman was great.

Relaxing Long Weekend on the Beach

Clean, bright, beautiful location right on the beach. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, etc. We had to buy our own beach chairs, which was a challenge in October. We left them behind, as we were traveling back to New York. Hopefully they will be available to the next guest.

So close to the beach!

Wasn’t sure when we first arrived tarps were on roof. But house is set up well for families. Being close to beach and having the large deck was perfect to be outside even if you didn’t want to be on the beach. Loved it and hoping to get to use again!!

We loved this house!

We rented Sandy Chic for a 2 week vacation. We were in quite a bind because the house we originally rented from another agency was cancelled on us last minute due to hurricane damage that had not yet been repaired. I called David and he came through for us in a huge way. The house was beautiful! We have rented many beach homes over the years and this one ranks right at the top! The home was very clean and very comfortable. From linens and towels to dishes and board games, this house was perfectly stocked. We will definitely be back!

Chic is a great way to describe this wonderful hom

This is our second year coming to South Ponte Vedra Beach and we'll be coming back to this house every year if we can! The layout is perfect, with two separate "wings" with two bedrooms and a main bath on each side, plus an en-suite master bath. The décor is so lovely--beachy, yet modern with a large stone fireplace and an open concept living-plan. (Think Joanna Gaines). We've stayed in other beach rentals and this house somehow feels more upscale. The kitchen is beautiful and the house was fully stocked with everything we could need, inside and out--basic condiments, all kitchen stuff you need, plenty of beach towels and bath towels, beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, etc. The large deck is the perfect place to see the kids below and to have a glass of wine at night and watch the stars and listen to the ocean. But the best part of all is the beach. It was so private, so unpopulated, we felt like it was all ours. The water was warm (mid-April) and the swimming was fantastic. The location is great too. Closer to grocery shopping in St. Augustine, but you pass many shopping areas on the road from Jacksonville. I just can't recommend this house enough! I wish it were mine!

Sandy Chic is the BEST!

My family and best friend's family have been vacationing in PonteVedra Beach for over a decade and this was our first time staying at the Sandy Chic! We were so THRILLED to have found this gem! Everything about this home is AMAZING! Beautiful, comfortable, well stocked, close to Publix, on the beach, did I mention BEAUTIFUL? I can go on and on... plus Wren Beach Rentals are so easy to work with which is a definite plus for out of town families! We FINALLY found the home that makes our summer beach vacation perfect! The Sandy Chic is incredible and definitely worth every penny.... We can't wait for next summer when we can come stay again! Suzette, Orlando Florida

perfect experience at Sandy Chic

We (parents with 3 children from Germany) had an "oceanfront vacation" first time. There was no difference between the description of the house and the location with all equipment. Every technical device worked well and the rooms were clean. We could see a lot of damage after "Matthew" in the surroundings, but the owner did well in reconstructing smaller damages concerning this property. We enjoyed the good customer service: communication was friendly and questions / anwers always came overnight. We can recommend this location without any limitation and plan to do another reservation next year. S. Ponte Vedra Beach is a suitable position to explore North Florida. We had trips to Orlando, Gainesville, St. Augustin, Daytona Beach, Cape Canaveral, Jacksonville but enjoyed most the oceanfront site.

simply perfect

This was just an amazing house for our needs -- guests ranged in age from 88 yrs to 5 years. Beautifully furnished, toys and games for the children, private beach, fully equiped kitchen. I could go on and on -- suffice it to say that our stay was fabulous and we would not hesitate to return. A huge thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely home with us.

Another Fantastic Stay in Ponte Vedra Beach!

This was our 3rd consecutive year renting Sandy Chic and 6th year renting from Wren beach Rentals. As always, David was always available and helpful when we needed him. The house is as advertised and great for a family of 5. Cannot say enough about the home, beach and area. We just love coming each year and plan for many more.

Sandy Chic: A Piece of Heaven by the Sea!

When we arrived at the Sandy Chic beach home, we had high hopes for a beautiful beach getaway, based on our review of photographs of the property. Little did we know that we'd be instantly impressed way beyond our expectations, and that the vacation home would far exceed the beauty, charm and casual elegance that were depicted in the photos! Every room of the home is beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, inviting, and comfortable yet extremely chic indeed! We enjoyed long afternoons on the sprawling beachfront deck and, from the same deck, the most glorious sunrises we have ever seen. The wide, sugar-sand beach was immediately accessible from the property's private boardwalk, where a captain's chair invites quiet moments overlooking the sea. The boardwalk is complete with a convenient shower and faucet, and another is available for washing off on the deck. A lovely balcony compliments the front of the home and, from there, incredible sunsets can be viewed over a seemingly endless expanse of undeveloped nature preserve. Because of this preserve, star gazing at night is at its best, as no ground lights are there to interfere with the majesty of the night sky. Every bedroom of the home is decorated beautifully, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The modern kitchen offers every amenity, and the home is quite comfortable for a large family or group with its offer of three full baths. The proximity of Sandy Chic to Publix and other stores is incredibly convenient. We greatly enjoyed Cap's on the Water and The Reef restaurants, and it was a short 20-minute drive along the beach to St. Augustine, where there are endless things to do! In fact, Sandy Chic's location is perfect: between the beaches and attractions (such as an incredible zoo) of Jacksonville and the historic charm and beauty of St. Augustine. We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Chic on Vilano Beach! We plan to stay there as often as possible and, when in the area, wouldn't stay anywhere else! :)

Pure Serenity!

We've stayed at Sandy Chic twice and love it. The layout is open, and the decor is attractive and comfortable. Two of the four bedrooms have an ocean view. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and "community" seasonings. There is a large deck with a picnic table, grill and chairs for lazy days watching the waves rolling in. While the home is about a 12-15 minute drive to Ponte Vedra or St. Augustine, we enjoy the wide open beaches and serenity of the area. The property manager is very responsive and makes the process easy. We would highly recommend a vacation at Sandy Chic!

A hidden gem

This is a fantastic house! Comfortable beds and tastefully decorated, I would definitely recommend this home.It has a peace to it. Its on a quiet part of the beach where sharks teeth and sea glass are abundant. The house is well supplied with anything one would need to enjoy a beach stay. We are repeat renters and this property always falls at the top of our list!

FABULOUS!

WOW! Sandy Chic is the perfect beach house in every sense of the way. I loved the lay out and that it was all one level. It was extremely kid friendly with so many toys and games for kids (my granddaughters, ages 2 & 5) couldn't wait to go in from the beach every to play! If you cook, you will appreciate the open gourmet kitchen and a view of the ocean! Comfy furniture, comfy beds and a private beach! Now, it doesn't get any better!! Highly recommended for one who can appreciate casual luxury and serenity. (If you are looking for action, jump on the beds and party central, this is not your place.) St. Augustine is only minutes away and great restaurants all within 10 minutes drive. Sandy Chic exceeded my expectations and I would go back in a heart beat because it suited my personality, tastes and needs so well~. David, the Property Manager, was so easy to work with and made sure we were happy. Our deposit was quickly refunded and the overall experience was an A+ I loved it and you will too!
