「The stay blew away our expectations. We got a suite instead of a single room. The staff were probably the friendliest people in Copenhagen. The views of the canal out the window, the details paid to everything (the hidden fridge), the great water pressure. It's been years, maybe decades since a hotel impressed me as much as our stay at the Kanalhuset did.」

「The gentleman manning the bar, didn’t catch his name was friendly and accommodating. The man at the front desk when we checked in was also friendly, helpful and very thorough when describing amenities offered. This place is quite the gem. Being just off the main drag of eateries and traffic, it is the perfect location. Lovely appointments, clean and good sized for a European room (as opposed to American sizes).」

「Everything was really nice except the shower space is quite small and also the room doesn’t have air conditioning and you need to make sure the staff provide you duvet that fits the weather - went in spring/early summer and they gave me feather duvet and it’s just killing me at night. Location is good and staff is really friendly and helpful! 」

「No regular house keeping but can book via whatsapp or call, house keeping is very thorough, and refilled all of the essentials. Reception replies very quickly through whatsapp and is very helpful. The location is ok convenient, located in a residential part, has a cheap supermarket Netto just around the corner, and a 10 to 15 mins walk to the østerport station. 「The hotel has potential, but there are areas that could be improved. The wardrobe only provided hangers for shirts and jackets, but none suitable for trousers. The room itself was very dim in the evening, making it impossible to use the full-length mirror properly. At the front desk, the service felt unfriendly. When I asked for assistance in calling a local restaurant, as I did not have a local number, the staff seemed reluctant to help. I also tried breakfast at the hotel restaurant....
