"Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more...

"We stayed Moi Dambulla for 3 days. It was such a beautiful and peaceful stay. Its also really close to the Golden temple and can get to Sigirya easily. The staff members were excellent and went above and beyond. The place is very clean, I wasn’t keeping well on the day of checkout and the staff very kindly let us checkout late because of me. They also cooked us meals. Erande, the manager I believe and the staff were really great, we definitely recommend the stay. "

"Séjour d une nuit très agréable, avec un très bon petit déjeuner pour le SL. La piscine au milieu des arbres est très sympa, surtout pr les enfants… chambre au top propre et bien aménagé. Bonne ambiance lounge le soir même si la musique un peu forte. À améliorer : le Check in où il n y avait personne à l arrivée, et comme notre chambre était pas prete, nous avons dû revenir et toujours personne donc un peu d attente. "Sad case of lovely hotel falling into decay after Covid. We four were only guests for our two day stay. Staff could not do enough but could not find booking, pool very neglected and rooms although enormous could do with a large amount of tender loving care. One I hope succeeds in the future."
