Great locations to The Orchard and Gideon winery. We had a great stay for a family birthday. Plenty of room and nice kitchen space for our brunch set up.

Great place for a family

Our family stayed here to enjoy a weekend away together. The house was very clean and they provided lots of little amenities that would be very appreciated by families with young children and those traveling with pets.

Older remodeled home with nice owners!

Very nicely remodeled old home. Neighborhood is within walking distance to beach, but neighbors & corner home location was rough. Vacant home & building next door to this property and other neighbors often blocked our parking. Because of home age, stairs were narrow & doorways were tricky to navigate. Overall enjoyed our stay & owners were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

Dan and the whole team are really on top of everything! They answer extremely fast and help out with any problem or doubt you may have. They were great and we’ll stay again for sure if ever in the area again. Train can be annoying, but nothing they can do about it. Washer and dryer by the kitchen was very hand and helpful. Gate by the stairs for dogs to stay safe downstairs also a plus.

The owners were very nice. They replied quickly and promptly addressed issues. Unfortunately the building itself was somewhat rundown; the floors were uneven and broken in places and the stairs were hazardous. While the immediate location wasn’t the best and the nearby train was quite loud, there are a lot of attractions nearby including Lake Erie and a safari where you can feed various animals.

This was a great stay. We were there pretty much to eat and sleep. Spent all day on the lake. The property is very clean. Lots of room and very comfortable. It was a cute house but no ac upstairs the fans didn’t hardly work upstairs but it was a good house on the bottom leave to stay in and hang out with the family and watch tv or play cornhole outside

Train sounds rental

Train went by all night long. We had mice in the house. Window were dirty. It did have a nice kitchen with new appliances. Faucets in bathroom tubs were lose. Upstairs of the house was very hot. Air conditioning great on main floor. They did provide fans in upstairs bedrooms. I would not stay there again.

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s wedding, and it was a wonderful experience! The host was fantastic—very responsive and thorough, even checking in with us periodically during our stay. The home is thoughtfully stocked with lots of little extras that made it easy to settle in and feel right at home. We had plenty of space to prepare some of the food for the wedding and even had all the bridal party get ready at the home on the day of the wedding. A few notes for future guests:I didn’t realize there were steps at both entrances—about 3 to 4 stairs, including one just inside the back door. This may be mentioned in the listing, but based on the photos and the mention of a main-floor bedroom, I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. We were traveling with my elderly mom and try to avoid stairs, but she managed with a bit of assistance. Just something to keep in mind if accessibility is a priority for others. Also, as some other guests have mentioned, the neighbors are particular about street parking near their homes and may come over to ask you to move your vehicle. However, there’s ample parking directly in front of the house on the street where there are no residences, so I’d recommend planning to park any extra vehicles there.
